More sunshine and dry weather on the way for May Bank Holiday in latest Met Éireann forecast

Met Éireann has delivered some fantastic news ahead of the May Bank Holiday weekend as the glorious weather looks set to continue over the next few days.

According to the latest forecast, temperatures are expected to dip over the coming days however they are anticipated to become milder next week. 

In the mean time, Friday will be another beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and highest temperatures of 18 degrees. Friday night will be dry with long clear spells, although cloud will increase over the northern half of the country later in the night with some patchy rain or drizzle in northern counties.

By Saturday morning, these patches of rain will have cleared and most areas will be dry. There will be plenty of sunshine in the southern half of the country. Unfortunately, Ulster will experience some cloud and drizzle and that will move southwards through the day with sunny spells following from the north. Highest temperatures will range from 12 to 17 degrees. 

Saturday night will be dry with clear spells in most parts of the country, although cloudier in the north. Lowest temperatures will dip between 3 to 8 degrees. 

Sunday morning will be dry with more sunshine. Some showers will develop in the afternoon over parts of Leinster and Munster. Highest temperatures will range from 9 degrees in the north and northeast to 15 degrees in the south and southwest.

Sunday night will be mostly dry after some lingering showers and temperatures will range from between 2 and 7 degrees. 

So far, Bank Holiday Monday looks set to be mostly dry with plenty of sunshine and highest temperatures of between 11 and 14 degrees.
