Enjoy it while it lasts! Temperatures to soar to 28 degrees before dramatic weather U-turn
The latest weather forecast indicates that the country can expect a blast of heat and sunshine over the next few days. Unfortunately, it will be short-lived.
From Wednesday onwards, Ireland will bask in sunshine and warm temperatures. Cathal Nolan from Ireland's Weather Channel has revealed that some parts of the country can even expect highs of up to 27 and 28 degrees as we approach the weekend.
The weekend itself will remain warm with temperatures of 23 to 24 degrees expected on Saturday, however these temperatures will start to dip on Sunday. Met Éireann has even warned of possible thunderstorms.
Sadly, the glorious weather will start to fade early on next week as more unsettled weather will dominate.
Cathal Nolan shared: "Early indication suggest that next week will be more unsettled with low pressure to our west or northwest, high pressure to our south or southeast and a warm humid southwesterly airflow covering Ireland with some rain forecast, but also some warmer drier interludes in what is likely to be rather typical Irish summer conditions."
Here is the full forecast for the coming days according to Met Éireann.
Wednesday night will be dry with long clear spells overnight. Lowest temperatures will range between 8 and 12 degrees.
Thursday will be a sunny day with high temperatures between 20 and 26 degrees. It will be cooler in eastern and southern parts of the country.
