Unsettled and changeable weather has taken over following last week's glorious mini heatwave. However, the latest weather forecast has some good news and bad news for the coming days.

Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel said that Wednesday and Thursday will be the best days this week and teased that the weekend might also be looking up for many across the country with high temperatures possibly returning.

The weatherman shared on social media: "One area to watch at the moment is for warmer temperatures creeping into the models for Saturday and Sunday, with highs possibly reaching up to 23 or 24 degrees, maybe even a little higher to the east of high ground in East Munster and Leinster where a Foehn effect could help temperatures reach up to 26 degrees Celsius."

Unfortunately, there will be plenty of rain throughout the week and Met Éireann has even warned to expect "unseasonably windy" conditions on Friday.
Here is the forecast for the coming days according to Met Éireann.

Tuesday night will be cloudy in parts with some clear patches and scattered showers. It will be a mild and humid night with lowest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees.

Thursday will be another bright day with some more showers that will become heavier in the evening time. It will be a breezier and fresher day with highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.

More outbreaks of rain will continue into Thursday night, some will be heavier in parts. There will also be some hill and coastal mist and fog. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.

Friday will be damp and 'unseasonably windy' with more outbreaks of rain which could turn heavy at times in the west and north. Drier and brighter conditions will start to develop later in the day. It will be slightly warmer on Friday with highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees.

So far, Saturday looks like it will be a sunny day and mostly dry with just the odd chance of some showers near the west and northwest coasts. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.
