Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for two counties this weekend as the latest forecast has indicated the entire country is in for a wet and miserable few days ahead.
So far, the weather warning is just in place for Cork and Kerry. It will come into affect from 10am on Saturday morning, 19 July until 10am on Sunday morning, 20 July.
Met Éireann has warned people in the impacted counties to expect possible spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult travel conditions.
The rest of the country won't escape the rain either. Thunderstorms and heavy showers have been forecast by Met Éireann throughout the weekend across the country.
Here is the weather forecast for the coming days according to Met Éireann.
Friday night will be mostly cloudy and dry, although some areas will see a few showers. Rain will develop in the southwest towards the morning. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.
Saturday will see some outbreaks of rain develop in the southwest throughout the morning which will eventually extend over much of Munster into the afternoon and into south Leinster and south Connacht, bringing the possibility of spot flooding. Elsewhere will be drier with some sunny spells and scattered showers which could turn heavy. There is also the chance of isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.

Sunday night will be mostly dry in the south. However, the north will see some showery outbreaks which will turn heavy at times and possibly thundery. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees.
Monday will continue to be cloudy with more heavy showers and the continued possibility of thunderstorms. The showers should ease, however, later in the day with some sunny spells breaking through. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees.
Showers will persist on Tuesday in the north and northwest. Further south will see more sunny spells, although the odd scattered shower too. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees.
