A number of Met Éireann wind warnings remain in place
One man has sustained serious injuries in an incident associated with Storm Amy which is currently battering much of the west and north west of the country.
A status red warning for County Donegal was lifted at 6pm but the county remains under a status orange wind warning along with Clare and all of Connacht.
Gardai have confirmed emergency services are attending the scene of a "serious injury incident" involving a male in Letterkenny, County Donegal. The incident occurred shortly after 4:15pm on Friday and is believed to be weather-related.
Separately, ESB Networks says weather conditions associated with Storm Amy have resulted in tens of thousands of homes and businesses being left without power.

With Met Éireann weather warnings still in place, and the dynamic nature of the event, further power outages can be expected throughout the evening.
"ESB Networks crews and partner contractors have been deployed to assess the damage, make the network safe and restore electricity supply in challenging conditions. ESB Networks crews are mobilised and are working to restore power where it is safe to do so," said a spokesperson.
"Our crews will continue the restoration for as long as possible this evening but, with the difficult conditions, it is likely that the majority of customers will not have their power restored tonight.
"We acknowledge the disruption to family and commercial life this causes and thank impacted customers for their patience as our crews work to safely restore power," they added.
ESB Networks says it will update power estimated restoration times as soon as the network has been assesses. These estimates will be available to view on PowerCheck.ie.
