WEATHER: Mix of clouds and sunny spells expected today (Mar 27)

A mix of cloud and sunny spells can be expected today (March 27). 

That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts some showers across the southwest through the morning, moving into other areas in the afternoon. 

Highest temperatures will be between 7 and 11 degrees. 

Tonight, a band of rain will move over western counties later this evening, and will become widespread across the country tonight, accompanied by fresh and blustery southerly winds. 

A clearance to showers will follow to Atlantic counties towards morning.

Overnight lows of 3 to 8 degrees.
