WEATHER: Rain expected all day (March 15) with possible spot flooding

Rain can be expected in all areas of the country this morning (March 15), falling as sleet for a short time further north. 

That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts heavy rain for the rest of the day with spot flooding in places. 

Temperatures will be between 2 to 5 degrees in the north and 7 to 11 degrees elsewhere with fresh, gusty winds. 

Tonight will be wet with heavy falls of rain and some spot flooding. 

It will be breezy and relatively mild with lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees.
