WEATHER: Sunny spells and scattered showers expected today (April 13)

Sunny spells and scattered showers are expected today (April 13). 

That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts dry periods across Leinster and highest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds. 

Tonight, showers will become confined to northern coastal areas and it will become mainly dry with clear spells.

Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop across Munster after midnight and will continue overnight.

Lowest temperatures of -1 to 3 degrees, coldest in the midlands and further north with frost developing.
