A 16-year-old youth has appeared at Derry Youth Court charged with riotous assembly.
The youth who cannot be named due to his age was charged with riotous assembly on June 10 this year.
The court was told that the youth was currently on police bail but this was translated to court bail.
District Judge Suzanne Rice said that these were 'serious offences' but she was granting him bail subject to conditions.
The youth was released on condition he does not take part in any march or demonstration in support of any organisation, he does not go within 500 metres of any police operation, does not be in any gathering of more than four people and observes a curfew.
The youth will appear again on August 4.
