29-year-old man charged with making an indecent image of a child

A man has appeared at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with indecent image charges.

Caolan Coyle (29) whose address was given to the court appeared charged with making an indecent image of a child on October 27 last year.

He was also charged with possessing an indecent image on the same date. 

Coyle was further charged with attempted sexual communication with a child on October 24, 2022 as well as a charge of possessing a prohibited image on October 27.

A police officer connected the accused to the charges. 

Defence solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that a full file would be required in the case and asked for an adjournment.

The case was adjourned until January 10 and the defendant was released on bail.
