Acclaimed Féile Derry stage play ‘In the Way of It’ to air tonight

The production follows the story of four students who strike up an unlikely friendship during a week of detention

Following a series of sold-out performances at St. Cecilia’s College, Féile Derry’s latest production 'In the Way of It' will be streamed online tonight at 7pm via Facebook and YouTube.

The play has received glowing praise from audiences, described as “an exceptional piece of creative writing” and “a heartening experience - uplifting and meaningful for both adults and young people.”

Other audience reactions included: “It took me back to school and shows how much things have changed for the better,” and “Very informative, interesting, and inspiring.”

The story follows four students who meet during a week of detention - and an unlikely bond forms when an inspirational teacher sees past the surface and starts to understand what each of them is going through.

Over the course of the week, friendships are built, walls come down, and we see the difference that one teacher - and a bit of belief - can make on a young person's life.
