Appeal against noise abatement order against Beechill House Hotel adjourned

An appeal against a noise abatement order against a local hotel has been adjourned at Derry Magistrate's Court today to allow work at the hotel to be completed.
The Beechill House Hotel in Ardmore had been served with a noise abatement notice by Derry and Strabane District Council last year.
This notice was then used by the council to object to the hotel being granted an entertainment licence.
At a previous hearing District Judge Barney McElholm has said that the council should not make such a decision while an investigation was ongoing.
At today's hearing a barrister for the hotel said that 'substantial works had been undertaken'.
He said that on completion of these works the council will be able to decide on the noise abatement notice.
The barrister asked for a two month adjournment to allow the work to be completed.
The case will next be mentioned on April 18.
