Ryan Doherty (22) of Clon Dara had pleaded guilty to charges connected to the supply of cocaine and transferring criminal property, failed to turn up at Derry Crown Court

An arrest warrant has been issued for a Derry man who has pleaded guilty to a series of drug and criminal property charges after he failed to turn up at the local Crown Court.

Ryan Doherty (22) of Clon Dara in Derry had pleaded guilty to charges connected to the supply of cocaine and transferring criminal property on dates between 2022 and 2023.

When the case was due to be heard today a defence barrister, Ciaran Riddy, told the court that his client had not turned up.

A prosecution barrister said that since April 17 Doherty had been in breach of the residency, curfew and signing requirements of his bail.

An anonymity order that had been imposed previously was lifted by Judge Neil Rafferty KC and an arrest warrant was issued.
