Attack on Bond Street Mural condemned as attempt to 'raise tensions in the Waterside area' of Derry

Foyle DUP MLA Gary Middleton has condemned an attack on a mural in the Bond Street area which happened in the early hours of this morning.

"This attack is once again another attempt to raise tensions in the Waterside area. The slogans IRA and TRY were among what was painted on the mural.

"The DUP works with all people in the Waterside area and we know the community would not support this type of behaviour.

"I would encourage anyone with any information to bring it forward to the PSNI."
