Belfast man fined for possession of cocaine

A man has appeared in Derry Magistrates Court charged with possession of a Class A drug.
Edward Dunn, 53, of Tyndale Road in Belfast faced one count of possessing Class A drugs.
The court heard that Dunn was stopped on the August 5 this year in the Waterside for a faulty break light and officers then found 13 grams of cocaine in the car valued at £520.
His solicitor Paddy MacDermott said that Dunn had a 'very relevant record' but that he has served a 'lengthy sentence' and has since got his life back in order.
A self-employed plasterer, Dunn found himself in 'stressful circumstances' and had the drugs for personal use.
The court was told that he has since got back 'on the straight and narrow' and pleaded guilty.
He received a £500 fine.
