Brooke Scullion has been asked to perform as the support act for the pop star at her upcoming concert at Ebrington
Bellaghy singer Brooke Scullion has spoken of the ‘absolute honour’ of being asked to perform as the support act for pop star Ella Henderson at her upcoming concert in Derry.
The south Derry woman was this week announced as the supporting act for the British singer, who is known for her many hits, including ‘Ghost’ and ‘Crazy what love can do’.
The concert is set to take place in Derry’s Ebrington Square on Sunday, August 24.

Brooke Scullion first shot to fame back in 2020 when she auditioned for ITV’s The Voice.
She was coached by Meghan Trainor and came third, losing to Olly Murs' contestant Blessing Chitapa.
In January 2022, Brooke was announced as one of six finalists competing in Eurosong 2022, the national final for Ireland to decide its representative for that year’s Eurovision Song Contest. With her song ‘That’s Rich’, Brooke won Eurosong 2022 with 28 points and went on to represent Ireland in Turin, Italy. She came in position 10 in the second semi-final on May 12 however she failed to qualify for the final.
Brooke was also a contestant on RTÉ’s Dancing with the Stars in 2023, eventually finishing up as a joint runner-up with her dance partner Robert Rowinski.
Announcing the news of the upcoming concert on social media, 26 year-old Brooke described the UK singer as an ‘inspiration’.
“First of all, Ella Henderson has been a massive inspiration and idol to me from the beginning of my career so it’s an absolute honour to be able to support her in my home city,” she said.
“Now, real talk. Had so much fear before releasing this post because it’s the first gig that I’ll have done in a while.”
Brooke said the concert will be a chance for fans to hear her new music.
She continued: “I’ve been writing new music for the last three years and I finally have an album that I’m so proud of. The release journey won’t be immediate but this gig will be the first time anyone gets to hear this new music and new direction!
“Thanks for all your love and support always, it means the world.”
