Scouting can bring huge benefits to a community, helping young people develop valuable life skills, leadership, confidence and independence while enjoying adventure, friendship, fun and creating memories that last a lifetime. Scouting is inclusive and provides opportunities for young people of all backgrounds and abilities.

Volunteering also brings many benefits, including the opportunity to learn new skills, develop experience that can enhance a CV, make new friendships, enjoy adventure and become part of something that makes a real difference in the local community.

The aim of the meeting is to bring together people who are interested in helping make Scouting a reality in Dungiven.

A new Scout group cannot happen without volunteers, and everyone has something to offer.

Anyone interested in finding out more is encouraged to come along to the meeting on Tuesday, July 21 at 7.30pm in Glór and help explore how Scouting can be brought to the young people and wider community of Dungiven.
