Catholic teen chased by gang of 16 youths in Derry

Police in Derry are appealing for information about what they believe was a sectarian incident in the Waterside area the city.

On Wednesday last, a Catholic teenager was walking at Bond Street when he was chased by a group of about 16 youths onto the Ebrington site (pictured).

Sectarian remarks were shouted at him.

A PSNI spokesperson appealed to anyone who saw the incident to contact Constable McClay, the investigating officer on the 101 non-emergency number.
