The Causeway Coastal Route is the most dog-friendly road trip in Northern Ireland, according to a new study.
Searches for ‘driving with dogs’ have soared 200% in the last 12 months as more people than ever are planning to travel with their dog this summer.
And a study done by Nationwide Vehicle Contracts has revealed that the route is the most dog-friendly road trip in Northern Ireland.
The route includes vast beaches for dogs to run wild and hidden country pubs. This journey in Northern Ireland is the ideal trip if you have a furry companion.
The Causeway Coastal Route boasts 249 dog-friendly Airbnbs on route, so holidaymakers can get settled and make their time away last even longer.
And the road trip includes 47 vets along the way in case of any emergencies, while there are also 17 pubs along the way that are dog-friendly.
This is a lot more available on the other three routes on the list when they are compared.
The Game of Thrones Road Trip, in second, only has 229 dog-friendly Airbnbs, 35 vets, and 15 dog-friendly pubs.
Third and fourth on the list, the North Sperrin Mountains and the Ards Peninsula route, respectively, have dramatically fewer facilities compared to the Causeway Coastal Route.
The North Sperrin Mountains only have four vets, one dog-friendly pub, and 16 Airbnbs that welcome dogs.
While the Ards Peninsula has 24 dog-friendly Airbnbs, five vets, and two pubs that will have a seat for your furry companion.
