Cheltenham fever hits Derry - but Big Shu is beaten

Punters in Derry flocked to the bookies  to back "Big Shu" who ran in the Glenfarclas Handicap Chase at Cheltenham.

The nine-year-old gelding is owned by Derry man Hugh Duffy along with Richard Robinson and Caroline Woods

Last year "Big Shu" romped to victory in the Cross Country Handicap Chase at the nice price of 14/1.

But this time around he went off as the 3-1  favourite and finished third behind winner Balthazar King and second placed Any Currency.
