Concern after used syringes and bags of 'unknown substance' found in Derry street

Community representatives have expressed concern after a number of used syringes and bags of an unknown substance were found in a Derry street.
The items were found in the Cromore Gardens area of Creggan this morning by a concerned member of the public.
They then collected the syringes and substance in a box and handed them in to Rosemount Resource Centre.
Independent councillor Gary Donnelly said 'the substance has yet to be tested but regardless of what it is bags of it and needles were left lying in the street where children could have got their hands on them'.
"It is very concerning," he said.
