Daniel Hegarty's family commended by Bloody Sunday Trust

'They have faced and overcome every obstacle the British government and MoD have put in their way to prevent the soldier responsible from facing a court of law'
Following Court of Appeal's decision to quash the non prosecution of Soldier B for the murder of Daniel Hegarty (15), the Bloody Sunday Trust has commended Margaret Brady (née Hegarty) and her family on their "unceasing quest for justice" for her brother, Daniel.
Tony Doherty, chairperson of the Bloody Sunday Trust said “since they achieved a new inquest that completely cleared Daniel's name they have faced and overcome every obstacle the British government and MoD have put in their way to prevent the soldier responsible from facing a court of law.
"Monday's judgement is another step forward and we support Margaret as she strives to see Soldier B prosecuted for the murder of her brother.”
