The following deaths have occurred:-
Bernadette (Bernie) Coll (née Brown), 17 Inishown Gardens, Creggan, Derry
Bernadette (Bernie) Coll (née Brown), 18th January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, loving mother of Shane and Gary, devoted grandmother of Casey and Sophie, dear sister of Maureen, Joe, Irene, Jacky and the late Una and a much loved aunt. Funeral from her home, 17 Inishown Gardens, Creggan on Saturday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 10.00am and on the morning of the funeral. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
Edwin (Eddie) Foster, 100 Abbeydale, Waterside, Derry
The death has occurred of Edwin (Eddie) Foster, 19th January 2023, (peacefully) at Rushall Care Home, Limavady (surrounded by his loving family in his 97th year formerly of 100 Abbeydale, Waterside) devoted husband of the late Joan (married for 64years) dearly loved father of Kim and Victor, dear father-in-law Keith and Alexandra, dear uncle of Lynda and his beloved cat Daisy. Short service in D.& R. & Sons, Funeral Home, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Saturday, 21st January at 12.45pm followed by a private committal service in Ballyoan Cemetery. Service of Thanksgiving for his life in Kilfennan Presbyterian Church at 2.00pm (immediately after committal service). Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired to Foyle Hospice c/o Mrs. Ruth Hay, Funeral Director (above address). Everyone is welcome to call at the Funeral Home and pay their respects to Edwin on Friday, 20th January from 2.00pm until 4.00pm evening between 6.00pm until 8.00pm. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his entire family circle. Too good in life to be forgotten in death.
Declan McCarron, Carnhill, Derry
The death has taken place of Declan McCarron, 17th January 2023, beloved son of the late James and Anne, late of Carnhill, loving brother of Sean, Seamus, Michael, Brian, Kevin, Roisin and the late Anne, brother-in-law of Patricia and Joan and much loved uncle of Joseph, Seamus, Ciaran, Emmett, Seana and Eimear. Funeral from his niece’s home, 126 Bloomfield Park on Saturday at 12o'clock for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
John (Gerry) McKeever, 118 Drumachose Park, Limavady
The death has taken place of John (Gerry) McKeever), 18th January 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 118 Drumachose Park, Limavady, beloved husband of Patricia, loving father of Susan, Caroline, Noel, Tracey, Karen, Yvonne, Nigel, Joanne, and Martin. Father-in-law of Johnny, Michael, Paul, Damien, Dawn-Marie, Cathy, and Carol. A much loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Dear brother of Jimmy, Tessie, Mary, Vera, Billy, Peter, and the late Tom, Patsy, Anthony, and Dan R.I.P. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Funeral will leave from his home on Saturday at 9.15am for Requiem Mass at 10am in Christ the King Church Limavady followed by interment in adjoining Cemetery.
