The following deaths have occurred:-
Simon William Bennett, 126 Kinsale Park, Caw, Derry
The death has taken place of Simon William Bennett, 20th July 2023, (suddenly but peacefully) at his home, 126 Kinsale Park, Caw, much loved partner of Pauline, precious son of Deborah, devoted dad of Matthew, loving brother of Maxine, dear step-dad of Caitlain, Rhianna and Rhys. Funeral arrangements later (all enquiries to D&R Hay & Sons Funeral Directors 02871 312567). Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired, to Chest Heart & Stroke c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Very deeply regretted by his sorrowing family circle. To know him was to love him.
Theresa McAdams (née Gallagher), 11 Robert Street, Derry
The death has taken place of Theresa McAdams (née Gallagher), 19th July 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of Davy, loving mother of Angela, devoted grandmother of Ellie and Conall, dear sister of Marie, Eleanor and the late Michael, Jimmy, Brenda and Dolores, dearly loved and will be sadly miss by her nieces, nephews and the entire family circle. Theresa will be reposing at her home, 11 Robert Street. Funeral leaving her home on Saturday at 9.20am. to St. Columb’s Church, Chapel Road, for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for her.
David Thomas McCann, Belleek
The death has occurred of David Thomas McCann, 16th July 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family and friends formerly of Meadow Hill Cottage, 29, Lergan Lane, Belleek, Co Fermanagh) much loved husband of Frances, loving brother of Martin and family, dear uncle of Cheryl, a great uncle of Charlie, dearest brother-in-law of Catherine, Jason, Kathy and family. Funeral leaving D & R Hay & Sons Funeral Home, 24A Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Monday, 24th July, at 10.00am followed by Cremation in Newtownabbey Crematorium at 12.00noon. Service will be held in Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall, Bonds Hill, in memory of David on Monday, 24th July at 3.30pm. Everyone is welcome to call at the Funeral Home on Friday, 21st July from 11.00am until 3.00pm. Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by his entire family circle. To know him was to love him.
Michael (Mickey) McFadden, William Street, Derry
The death has taken place of Michael (Mickey) McFadden, 19th July 2023, (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family at Foyle Hospice, (formerly of Linsfort Drive, late of William Street), beloved husband of the late Mary, loving father of Amanda, John and the late Michaela, devoted grandfather of Charlene, Owen, Adam and Ellie, dear father-in-law to Mark and Carmen, dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and the wider family circle. Mickey will be reposing at his daughter Amanda’s home 45 Ashlea Grove, Killea on Friday from 12noon to 10.00pm. Funeral leaving his daughter’s home on Saturday at 9.15am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.
