The following deaths have occurred:-
Serafim Rodrigues Barbosa, 63 Windridge Drive, Derry
The death has taken place of Serafim Rodrigues Barbosa, 19th December 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family, formerly of 63 Windridge Drive, Derry) dearly beloved husband of the late Kirstie, devoted Dad of Marc, loving Father-in-Law of Caitlin, adored Granda of Tomas and Meabh and a dear Brother and Uncle. Serafim is reposing at his late home until Saturday, 23rd December at 1.00pm family and friends are welcome to call. Funeral leaving D. & R. Hay & Sons, Funeral Home 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Wednesday. 27th December at 9.30am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Chapel Road, Waterside at 10.00am, Cremation afterwards in Antrim and Newtownabbey Crematorium. Sacred heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.
Judith Patricia Cameron (née Lindsay), Glasgow (formerly of Limavady)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Judith Patricia Cameron (née Lindsay), died peacefully, 16th December 2023 in Glasgow (formerly of Limavady). Funeral service at Glasgow Crematorium on Friday, 5th January at 3.15pm. A live video stream will also be available. May Feeney, West Avenue, Portstewart
The death has taken place of May Feeney, 21st December 2023, (peacefully) at Robinson Hospital, formerly of West Avenue, Portstewart, wife of the late William, mother of James, John, Ann and the late Robert, dearest sister of Jean, Robert, Margaret, Bridie, William, Samuel and the late Betty and Nellie. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2a Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Saturday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Patsy Ferris, 71 Gortnaghey Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Patsy Ferris, suddenly but peacefully, at home on 20th December 2023. May he rest in peace. Late of 71 Gortnaghey Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Loving father of Patsy, Eamon and Glenda. Devoted grandfather of Niall, Clara, Ella-Rose, Daniel and great grandfather of Alara. Beloved son of the late Patrick and Anna R.I.P and dear brother of Vonnie and the late Brendan and Teresa R.I.P. Reposing at his late home. Funeral from his late home on Saturday, 23rd December leaving at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Gortnaghey. Interment immediately afterwards in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven graveyard. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons, daughter, daughter in law, grandchildren, great grandchild, sister, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle. Michael (Mickey) McCarron, Alexander House, Derry (formerly of Howard Street)
The death has taken place of Michael (Mickey) McCarron, 21st December 2023, peacefully at his daughter Ciera’s Home 101 Kylemore Park, (Mickey, Ex. Breadman, late of Alexander House, formerly of Howard Street), husband of Margaret, loving father of Ciera, devoted granda of Emma, Orla, Molly and Katie, father-in-law to Keith, dear son of the late Patrick and Margaret, cherished brother of Patsy, Majella, Kathleen and the late Pauline, Jeanie (Twin), Jimmy, Roseleen and Gerard, sadly missed by the entire family circle. Mickey will be reposing at his daughter Ciera’s home, 101 Kylemore Park. Funeral leaving 101 Kylemore Park on Saturday, 23rd December at 9.20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10.00pm. Interment afterwards in The City Cemetery. The death has occurred of the late Sarah Barbara McCorkell (née Wilson), 20th December 2023, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, dearly beloved Wife of the late Sammy, 50 Smith Street, Moneymore, much loved Sister of Winston, Eric, Peggy and the late Sam and George and a loving Sister-in-Law and Aunt. The death has taken place of Anne Wilson, 19 December 2023, passed away peacefully in Auckland, New Zealand with her family by her side. Dearly loved wife for 64 years of Raymond.
