The following deaths have occurred:-
Cáel Shea Harkin Canning, 48 Benview Estate, Coshquin
Cáel Shea Harkin Canning, born 22nd February 04.29am and fell asleep at 6.30am on 23rd February 2023. Much loved son of Briana Harkin and Odhrán Canning. Loving brother of Kaiden. A much loved grandson and great grandson. A service will take place at his mother's home, 48 Benview Estate, Coshquin on Saturday, 25th February at 12noon. Burial afterwards in the City Cemetery. Suffer little children who come onto me.
Alex George Lottrie, late of Janes Valley, Limavady
The death has taken place of Alex George Lottrie, 22nd February 2023, (suddenly) at Causeway Hospital Coleraine and late of Janes Valley, Limavady. Beloved son of Barry and Tracey. Dear brother of Adam and the late Stuart. Deeply regretted by the family circle and all his friends. Family and friends welcome at O’Brien’s of Limavady Funeral Home, 10 Ballyclose Street, Limavady on Friday from 6..00pm to 8.00pm and Saturday from 11.00am. Funeral service will be held in O’Brien’s of Limavady Funeral Home on Saturday at 1.00pm followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium Cavan. Edith Florence (Mavis) Mooney (née King), 7 Sperrin Mews, Magherafelt
The death has occurred of Edith Florence (Mavis) Mooney (née King), 23rd February 2023, beloved wife of Edward and loving mother of Paula (Loughlin), Edward , Anthony and the late Anne Mac Bride, dear sister of Frances and the late Jean, Jackie, Vincent, and Iris. Funeral from her home, 7 Sperrin Mews on Saturday, 25th February at 2.00pm for 2.30pm Requiem Mass in Church of our Lady of the Assumption via webcam at Webcam – Magherafelt Parish, interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of St John Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, sons, daughter, daughters in law Johann, Fateha, sons in law Lloyd and Damien, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, sister and extended family circle. House strictly private - immediate family and close family friends.
Marty McCallion, Beechwood Crescent, Derry
The death has taken place of Marty McCallion, 20th February 2023, beloved partner of the late Breege, Beechwood Crescent, cherished son of the late Mary and Danny, loving brother of James, Charlie, Kitty and the late Johnny, brother-in-law of Martin, Angela and Kitty and a much loved uncle. His remains will be reposing in the family home, 31 Forest Park. Funeral from there on Saturday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Margaret McErlane (nee Downey), 7 Station Park, Toomebridge
The death has taken place of Margaret McErlane (nee Downey), 22nd February 2023, beloved wife of Gerry, loving mother of Oliver, Kevin and Connor, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth and sister of Bridget and John, mother in law of Patricia, Maria and Lynda and grandmother of Holly, Emily, Kylie, Tamera, Dylan, Mya, Ella, Darcy and Lucy, sister in law of Patsy, Yvonne, Una, Harry, Anne, Dave, Susan, Louise, Bobby and the late Liam. Funeral from her home, 7 Station Park on Saturday, 25th February at 10.40am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St. Oliver Plunkett Toomebridge via webcam St. Oliver Plunketts, Duneane, Toomebridge, Antrim - 1-11 Loughview Dr, Toomebridge, Antrim, Northern Ireland (churchservices.tv), interment afterwards in cemetery at Church of the Sacred Heart Cargin. George Thompson, 3 Forest Road, Garvagh
The death has taken place of George Thompson (Garvagh), 23rd February 2023, (suddenly but peacefully), beloved husband of Angela; loving father of Karen, Bernadette (Beattie), Christopher and the late John; father-in-law of Pete and much adored Granda of Frankie, Ryan and Johnny. Son of the late William and Elizabeth and dear brother of Kathleen, Willie, Gerry and the late Bernie and Mamie. N.B. John’s wake will commence on Friday evening at 6.00pm. Family time 10.00pm to 11.00am. Funeral from his late residence, 3 Forest Road, on Monday at 10.15am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. (Mass will be broadcast live on the parish website http://www.errigalparish.com/media.html). Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St. Pio pray for him.
