The following deaths have occurred:-
Teresa Colton (née McMenamin), 512 Carnhill, Derry
The death has occurred of Teresa Colton (née McMenamin), 26th July 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 512 Carnhill, (formerly of Stanleys Walk), beloved wife of the late Bob, loving mother of John, Ciaran, Caroline and Catriona, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, dear and loving daughter of the late Lily and Mickey, cherished sister of Michael, a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews and a dear mother-in-law to John, Duscha, Angela and Jim. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Brigid’s Church, Carnhill on Friday, 28th July at 1:00pm, followed by a private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Co. Cavan. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. St. Pio intercede for her.
Charles (Charlie) Gallagher, Caw Mews, Derry
The death has taken place of Charles (Charlie) Gallagher, 26th July 2023, (peacefully) after a long illness, at Deanfield Care Home, (late of Caw Mews), beloved husband of Violet, loving father of Charles Jr., John and Caroline, dear brother of Paul, David, Mary, Catherine, Carmel, Rebecca and the late Billy. Funeral leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, 31 William Street on Friday, 28th July at 4:30pm to St. Columb’s Church, Chapel Road for Requiem Mass on Saturday at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on His Soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.
Maureen Gallagher (née McDaid), 11 Laurel Park, Waterside, Derry
The death has taken place of Maureen Gallagher (née McDaid), 26th July 2023, (peacefully) at home, 11 Laurel Park, Waterside (formerly of Carnhill and Lecky Road), beloved wife of Jackie, loving mother of Michelle, Seamus and Ciaran, mother-in-law of Brian, Helen and Serena, a devoted granny and dear sister of Margaret and the late Ann. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects in the family home from 4.00pm - 9.00pm on Friday. House private at all other times. Funeral from her home on Saturday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Dorothy Logue (née Gillis), 13 Westland Road, Magherafelt
The death has taken place of Dorothy Logue (née Gillis), 25th July 2023, (suddenly) at her home, 13 Westland Road, Magherafelt, in her 97th year, dearly beloved wife of the late Robert, much loved mother of Robin, Brian and Colin, dear mother-in-law of Jacky, Bobbie and Ruth, a dear grandmother and great-grandmother and cherished sister of Marina and the late Pearl and Norman. Family and friends welcome at her home. Funeral service in Magherafelt Baptist Church on Saturday (July 29) at 1:00pm followed by burial in St Swithin’s Parish Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Joe (Patrick Joseph) McCaul, 4a Liscall Road, Ballerin
The death has taken place of Joe (Patrick Joseph) McCaul (Ballerin Hill), 27th July 2023, (peacefully) beloved husband of Mary; loving father of Bronagh, Geraldine (Martin), Damien (Claire) and a much adored Granda of six Grandchildren. Brother of Tony and the late Colum, Carmel and Brendan. N.B. Joe’s wake will commence on Friday evening at 5.00pm. Family time 10.00pm to 11.00am please. Funeral from his late residence, 4a Liscall Road, on Sunday at 9.:20am (travelling via Ballerin Park Road) for 10 o’clock Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. Funeral leaving her mother’s home, 27 Westland Avenue, on Friday, 28th July at 9:20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Fatima intercede for her.
