The following deaths have occurred:-
Marie Davis (née McCallion), 20 Duncreggan Road, Derry
The death has occurred of Marie Davis (née McCallion), 30th March 2023, peacefully at Foyle Hospice, (formerly of Market Square, Buncrana), beloved wife of Sean, loving mother of Gareth and Barry, devoted Nana of Izzy and Jack, mother-in-law to Nina and Aideen, dear daughter of the late Andy and Annie, loving sister of Rosaleen, Barney, Seamus and Shaun. Reposing at her home 20 Duncreggan Road from 12.00 noon on Friday, 31st March. Funeral leaving her home on Monday, 3rd April at 9.20am to St. Patrick’s Church Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. St. Pio Intercede For Her.
Christy Devine, 33 Altaghoney Road, Claudy
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Christy Devine peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on 29th March 2023. May he rest in peace. Late of 33 Altaghoney Road, Claudy, Co Derry BT47 4JR. Beloved husband of Celine and loving father of Christina (Kieran Lagan), Thomasina (Eugene Mullan), Joanne (Sean McGurk) and Christopher (Jemma Conway). Devoted grandfather of Cara, Kirstin, Conlan, Daragh, Charlie, Kiaya and Bree. Loving son of the late John Pat and Biddy Jane (Doey) R.I.P and dear brother of Barney, Mary, Liz, Teresa and James. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle. Reposing at his late home. Funeral on Saturday, 1st April leaving his late home at 10.20am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, Craigbane. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only, donations if wished in lieu to Brainwaves N.I c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors. Our Lady of knock pray for him.
Liam Doherty, 109 Bloomfield Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Liam Doherty, 29th March 2023, 109 Bloomfield Park, beloved husband of Elizabeth, loving father of Wendy, Elisha and Grainne, father-in-law of Declan, Grahame and Darren, devoted grandfather of Molly-Beth, Ella, Teigan, Micheal and Eire and dear brother of Sammy and the late Jim (Red), Michael, Tony, Martin, Marion and Sadie. His remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Galliagh. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 10.00am please. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Paul Donnelly, 2a Moss Road, Ballymaguigan
The death has taken place of Paul Donnelly (Ballymaguigan), 30th March 2023, beloved husband of Mairead and loving father of Tiernan, Shea, Daire, son of the late Joe and Mary Donnelly and dear brother of Margaret, Teresa, Colette, Martin, John, Francis Michael and the late Jody. Funeral from his home 2a Moss Road on Saturday, 1st April at 11.15am for 12noon Requiem Mass in Church of St Trea Newbridge, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St. Padre Pio pray for him. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, mother in law Helen Doyle, brothers, sisters, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces and extended family circle.
John Francis Doran, 148 Hatmore Park, Derry
The death has taken place of John Francis, Doran, 29th March 2023, (peacefully) at home. Beloved husband of the late Mary and loving father of John-Paul, Maria, Margaret, Eileen, Liam, Gerard and Damian. A much loved grandfather and great-grandfather. Dear brother of Mary-Jo, Eileen, Gerard, Kevin and the late Dan, Deirdre and the infant Aidan. Funeral from his home 148 Hatmore Park on Saturday, 1st April at 9.30am to Saint Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. The death has taken place of Bill Dunlop, 30th March 2023, (peacefully) at home, 12 Charnwood Park, Coleraine, dearly loved husband of Teresa, loving father of Gregory, Stacey and Danielle, father-in-law of Dana, Greg and David and much loved grandad/papa of Shay, Ollie, Charlie, Georgia, Yousef, Erin and Dalia; loving son of Jean and the late David and dear brother of Sam, Scott and Adam. The death has occurred of Eleanor (Ella) Kilgore (née Holmes), 29th March 2023, (peacefully) at Deanfield Private Nursing Home (in her 78th year) dearly beloved wife of the late Edward (Eddie) much loved mum of Eddie and Tanya, loving mother-in-law of Julie and Steve, adored nana of Rebecca, Jordan, Lauren, Isla and Connie, great-nana of Aria and Mila, dearest sister-in-law of Adelene and Joy. Funeral leaving her late home, 1 Elder Crescent, Brigade on Saturday, 1st April at 12.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in Ebrington Presbyterian Church at 1.00pm followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Daniel William (Danny) McCallion, formerly of Lower Nassau Street, Derry
The death has occurred of Daniel William (Danny) McCallion, 2nd February 2023 in Derby, England, (formerly of Lower Nassau Street), beloved husband of Ellen, loving father of David, Brian and Colin, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather, dear son of the late Danny and Cassey, loving brother of Francis and the late Greta, Manus, Eddie and Jim. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Eugene’s Cathedral on Saturday, 1st April at 11.30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.
