The following deaths have occurred:-
Sheila Mary Alcock, 9 Grovemount Court, Altnagelvin, Derry
The death has occurred of Sheila Mary Alcock, 16th April 2023, (peacefully) at Foyle Hospice in her 83rd year, (formerly of 9 Grovemount Court, Altnagelvin) much love wife of the late Neil, devoted mum of Gillian, Mark, Neil and Sharon, loving mother in law of Glen and Carol ,adored nanny of Sarah, Emma, Davida, Leah and Eve, great nanny of Freya, Bradley, Aaliyah, Addison, Ayva, Daithi, dearest sister of Christine. Service of thanksgiving for her life in All Saints Clooney parish church on Wednesday, 19th April at 12noon followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to pay respects at Adair and Neely Funeral home Foyle Road, on Monday 17th and Tuesday 18th April from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to The Foyle Hospice 61 Culmore Road Bt48 8JE.
Kathleen (Katie) Convery (née McWilliams), 67 Lisnamuck Road, Maghera
The death has taken place of Kathleen (Katie) Convery (née McWilliams), 15th April 2023, (peacefully) at home surrounded by her family, beloved wife of the late Stephen. Funeral from her home, 67 Lisnamuck Road, on Monday, 17th April at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St Patrick Glen, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Padre Pio pray for her. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Family time please from 10.00pm to 10.00am.
Joanne McFarland, Main Street, Eglinton
The death has taken place of Joanne McFarland, passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital on 15th April 2023, late of Main Street, Ballykelly. Much loved wife of Sam, devoted mother of Sarah -Jayne and Emily, Dear Mother in law of Jermaine and loving grandmother of Ella-Rose also a dear Sister. House strictly private (close friends and close family only please.) Funeral arrangements to follow. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her entire family circle.
Charles (Charlie) O’Connell, 53 Irish Green Street, Limavady
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Charles (Charlie) O’Connell, (peacefully) at home surrounded by his loving family on 16th April 2023. May he rest in peace. Late of 53 Irish Green Street, Limavady, Co Derry. Beloved husband of the late May R.I.P. Loving father to Shaun, Anne Murphy, Lorraine O’Connell and the late Charlie O’Connell R.I.P. Son of the late Grace and Thomas R.I.P and dear brother the late Jim, Annie Mary and Tommy R.I.P. Devoted Grandfather of Charlene, John, Shauna, Marie-Anne, Ursula, Shannon, Carla Jane, Grace and Gerard. Will be sadly missed by his great grandchildren, daughter in law Fildelma and sons in law Patrick and Gerard. Reposing at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road Dungiven BT474NQ), you are welcome to pay your respects on Monday (17th) 7.00pm to 9.00pm. Funeral will take place on Tuesday, 18th April leaving his late residence at 9.40am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church Limavady. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Our Lady of Knock pray for him.
