The following deaths have occurred:-
Patricia Cummins (née McNulty), 39 Rossdowney Drive, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Patricia Cummins (née McNulty), 21st January 2024, peacefully in her sleep at her home, 39 Rossdowney Drive, (formerly of Creggan), wife of Roy, loving mother of Stephen and Tia, devoted grandmother of Leighton, Mason, Harper and the late Sofia, dear and loving daughter of the late Manix and Maureen, dear sister of Linda and brother-in-law of Ray, a cherished aunt of all her nieces and nephews and dearly loved and will be sadly missed by Bronagh Breen, Bronagh Parke and the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday, 24th January at 9.20am to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
Josephine Hutton (née Doherty), 93 Hollymount Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Josephine Hutton (née Doherty), 21st January 2024, peacefully at her home, 93 Hollymount Park, surrounded by her loving family, (formerly of Castlemellon Corner), beloved wife of Patrick, loving mother of John, Patrick, Fiona, Declan, Paul, Ciaran, Louise and the late Damian, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, daughter of the late Samuel and Agnes, dear sister of Bertie, Lily, Una and the late Fonsy and Noel, mother-in-law to Majella, Diane, Seamus, Mary, Brenda and Lita and a cherished aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving her home on Wednesday, 24th January at 11.50am to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. House private please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.
Edward O'Kane, 9 Clon Road, Eglinton
The death has occurred of the late Edward O'Kane, 21st January 2024, beloved husband of Mary, 9 Clon Road, loving father of Eamon, Teresa, Ethna and Colin, father-in-law of Caroline, Bernard and Claire, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather and dear brother of Maureen and the late Annie, Ruby, Patsy, Bobby and Francie. House private please. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, on Monday from 6.00pm – 8.00pm. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Tamnaherin. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Caitlin O’Neill, 44a Mullan Road, Ballinderry
The death has taken place of Caitlin O’Neill, 15th January 2024, 44a Mullan Road, beloved daughter of Michael and Joan (Nee McIvor) and dear sister of Siobhan, Eimhear and Niamh. Funeral from her home on Tuesday, 23rd January at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St. Patrick Ballinderry, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her father, mother, sisters and extended family circle. Family time please from 11.00pm to 11.00am.
