The following deaths have occurred:-
Florence Allen, Coleraine Road, Garvagh
The death has taken place of Florence Allen, 22nd October 2023, peacefully at Causeway Hospital, late of Coleraine Road, Garvagh. Dearly beloved wife of the late Very Rev Dr Harry Allen, loving mother of Philip and Geoffrey, mother in law of Dani and Donna, much loved grandmother of Fergus and Lotte, Chloe and Ethan. Service of thanksgiving in Main Street Presbyterian Church, Garvagh on Tuesday, 24th October at 1.00pm interment in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu if desired to Main Street Women Together, cheques payable to Main Street Presbyterian Church c/o Clyde Funeral Directors, 24 Mettican Road, Garvagh BT51 5HS. Clifford Barr, 11 Parkmore Road, Magherafelt
The death has occurred of the late Clifford Barr (Magherafelt), 21st October 2023, son of the late John and Sheila Barr and dear brother of Geraldine Higgins and Joanna Dillon, brother in law of Martin Dillon and the late Brian Higgins. Funeral from his home, 11 Parkmore Road, on Tuesday, 24th October at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption via webcam at Webcam – Magherafelt Parish. Interment afterwards in the cemetery at Church of St. John, Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his sisters, brother in law, nephews and nieces Fiona, Barry, Ciaran, Adrian, Niall, Liam, Shauna, Nigel, Sean, Ursula, Paul and Conal. Extended family circle. Una Collins (née Logue), 2 Springburn Road, Derry
The death has taken place of Una Collins (née Logue), 21st October 2023, loving mother of Jacqueline, Séan and Sinéad, devoted grandmother of Darren, Ethan and Calum, sadly missed by Davy and dear sister of Neil, Marion and the late May, Bridie, Kathleen and Sadie. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 2 Springburn Road, BT47 5PU. Funeral from there on Tuesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 12.00pm. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Lee Johnston, 18 Tullykeeran Gardens, Maghera (Updated Arrangements)
The death has taken place of Lee Johnston (Maghera & formerly Coleraine). House Private Please. Late of 18 Tullykeeran Gardens, Maghera. Beloved son of Liam and Maud and loving brother of Stephen, Leanne, Abbie and the late Paul and Dylan. Funeral from McKiernan’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, 24th October 2023 at 2.15pm for 3.00pm Graveside Service and committal in Coleraine Cemetery. Rest in Eternal Peace.
Bridget Kennedy, Cargin
The death has taken place of Bridget Kennedy (Cargin), 21st October 2023, beloved daughter of the late Bridget and Jim Joe Kennedy and dear sister of Davy, Jim, Leo and the late Ronnie and May Donnelly. Funeral from Castlehill Nursing Home, Castledawson on Monday, 23rd October at 1.20pm for 2.00pm Requiem Mass in Church of the Sacred Heart Cargin. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her brothers, nephews, nieces and extended family circle.
Teresa McKee (née Martin), 20 Sandymount, Magherafelt
The death has taken place of the late Teresa McKee (née Martin), 22nd October 2023, late of 20 Sandymount, beloved wife of Seamus, daughter of the late Maisie and Jimmy Martin and dear sister of Ena, Marion, Bridget, Pauline, Bernie, Mary, Joey, Willie, Dessie, Hugh, Colm and the late Anne and Sheila. Removal from McCusker Bros Funeral Home Garden Street on Tuesday, 23rd October at 6.30pm arriving in Church of Our Lady of the Assumption at 7.00pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11.00am via webcam at Webcam – Magherafelt Parish. Interment afterwards in the cemetery at Church of St. John, Milltown. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her husband, sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Viewing on Monday from 6.00pm to 8.00pm and Tuesday from 4.00pm to 6.30pm.
Liam Peoples, 64 Barr Cregg, Claudy
We regret to inform that the death has taken place of Liam Peoples, suddenly at home on 22nd October 2023. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis Publican of Glen Bar, Claudy. Late of 64 Barr Cregg, Claudy, Co Derry. Beloved son of the late Terence and Vera R.I.P. Loving brother of Declan and Jarlath and fond brother in law of Siobhan.
