The following deaths have occurred:-
Elizabeth (Jean) Allen (née Long), 49 Ross Bay, Limavady Road, Derry
The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Jean) Allen (née Long), 25th March 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by her loving family) dearly beloved wife of the late Cecil, much loved mother of John and Patricia, loving mother-in-law of Linda and Nelson, adored grandmother of David, Michael, Anna, James and Emily, great-grandmother of Ollie, Evie and Albie, dearest sister of Bertie, Cecil and the late Raymond. Funeral leaving her late home, 49 Ross Bay, Limavady Road, on Tuesday, 28th March at 1.00pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in St. Augustine’s Parish Church at 1.30pm, burial afterwards in Glendermott New Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu of desired to St. Augustine’s Parish Church c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24a Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry, BT47 3QQ. Family time please from 9.00pm until 11.00am. Very deeply regretted and will lovingly remembered by her entire family circle. Peace, perfect peace.
Bridie Ferguson (née Harkin), 74 William Street, Derry
The death has taken place of Bridie Ferguson (née Harkin), 25th March 2023 at home. Loving wife of John. Beloved mother of Sean, Aisling and Ciaran. Much loved grandmother of Lauren, Shea, Katie, Leah, Tieghan, Oisin. Great grandmother of Kaiden. Daughter of the late Packie and Mary Rose. Sister of Willie, Pat, Robert, Maureen, Bernadette, Donna and the Late Jim and Susan Funeral from her home, 74 William Street on Tuesday, 28th March at 9.30am to St Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by all her family and everyone that knew her. Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on her soul. Our lady of knock pray for her.
Bernadette Patricia Hemphill (née Moore), 11 Brown Drive, Maghera
The death has occurred of Bernadette Patricia Hemphill (née Moore), called home Sunday, 26th March 2023, 11 Brown Drive, Maghera, dearly loved mother of David, Lisa (McCann) and Ellen (McElroy), much loved mother-in-law of Adrienne, Mark and Paul and adored granny of Grace, James, Jack, Marcus, Tommy and Phoebe. All welcome at her home (Family time from 10.00pm - 11.00am). Funeral from her home on Wednesday, 29th March at 1.30pm to St. Lurach's Parish Church, Maghera for service at 2.00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Laurel House, Antrim Area Hospital, payable to D. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore Magherafelt BT45 5PP. Forever loved and sadly missed by her loving Family and Family Circle.
Philip (Phil) Mullan, 13 Lough View, Greysteel
The death has taken place of Philip (Phil) Mullan, 26th March 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 13 Lough View, Greysteel. Beloved husband of Noreen, Loving father of Philip and Paul. Dear brother of Owen, Mary, Brian, Sally, and Monica. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Funeral from his home on Tuesday at 10.25am for Requiem Mass at 11.00am in Star of The Sea Church Faughanvale followed by interment in adjoining Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Seamus O'Kane (Trick), 9 Grannagh Park, Aghanloo, Limavady
The death has taken place of Seamus O'Kane (Trick), 25th March 2023, (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite R.I.P. Will be sorely missed by his loving children, grand-children, brothers, sisters and wider family circle. His remains will leave his late residence of 9 Grannagh Pk, Aghanloo on Tuesday, 28th March at 9.15am for 10.00am Requiem Mass at St.Marys Church. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time please between 10.00pm and 10.00am. Family flowers only please.
