The following deaths have occurred:-
Anne Doyle (née Boyle), 29 Cullion Road, Desertmartin
The death has occurred of the late Anne Doyle (née Boyle), Cullion, 28th January 2024, died peacefully at home. Dearly beloved wife of the late James and much loved mother of Frances (James), Bernadette (Paddy), David (Dolores) and Mary (Garry). Devoted grandmother of Kathy, Dermot, Emmett, Laura, Danny and Ella, and great grandmother of Noah, Amelia and Cillian. Much loved daughter of the late Jim and Anne Boyle. Sister of the late Susan, Eddie, Patrick, Mary, John and Kathleen (RIP). Sister in law of Ann Boyle. Funeral from her home 29 Cullion Road, Desertmartin BT45 5NR on Tuesday, 30th January at 10.15am for 11o’clock requiem Mass in St. Columbas Church Straw, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on us, Family time 10.00pm to 10.00am.
Ethel Hassan (née Clarke), 19 Mill Crescent, Tobermore
The death has taken place of Ethel Hassan (née Clarke), 28th January 2024 (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, dearly beloved Wife of the late Robert, 19 Mill Crescent, Tobermore, much loved Mother of Rhonda, Dougie, Leslie and the late Cedric, a loving Mother-in-Law of Cecil, Roberta, Vicki and Diane, devoted Granny of Leanne, Paul, Samantha, Nathan, Natasha, Lee, Jill, Jude, Charlene and Robert, a beloved Great Granny to her 17 Great Grandchildren and dearest Sister of Tommy and the late Martha, Mary, Jim, Kathleen, Elizabeth, Sammy and John. All welcome at the Family home on Monday and Tuesday, January 29th and 30th between 11.00am and 9.00pm. Funeral arrangements later. Family flowers only please. Daniel McCafferty, 26 Alexander House, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Daniel McCafferty, peacefully at his home on 28th January 2024. Late of 26 Alexander House and formerly of 38 Meenan Drive. May he rest in peace. Beloved son of the late Daniel and Rebecca. Loving brother of Willie, Anthony, Cathy and the late Johnny, Eilish and Martin. A much loved uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle and friends. Daniel’s remains will be reposing at his sister Cathy's residence, 33 Forest Park. Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday, 30th January at 9.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for the late Tony O’Kane (Lavey), died 28th January 2024, peacefully at home Tony R.I.P. beloved husband of Annie (née O’Neill); loving father of Anthony (Lorraine), Mairead Devlin, Stephen, Paula O’Hagan (Fionnbarr) and the late Janet (Downey) and a much adored Granda and Great Granda. Son of the late Jeannie and dear brother of Celine, Patricia and the late Marie. Family time 10.00pm – 10.00am. The death has taken place of Olive Overend (née Leslie), 27th January 2024, (peacefully) at her home, 54 Mullaghboy Road, Bellaghy, (age 88 years) dearly beloved wife of the late Victor, much loved mother of Alison, Irene, Lorna, Carol and Claire, dear mother-in-law of Dominic, Stephen, Jonathan, John and Michael, dearest sister of Lorna Thompson (Canada) and the late Adeline Fulton and a devoted grandmother. House private (family and close friends will be welcome on Monday, 29th January from 2.00pm - 8.00pm). Funeral service in Ballyscullion Parish Church on Tuesday at 2.00pm. The death has taken place of Daniel Shiels, 26th January 2024, beloved husband of Mary, 84 Strabane Old Road, loving father of Tracey, Daniel, Mandy, John, Mary, Bernie and the late Frankie, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather and dear brother of Jim, Frankie, Roisin, Teresa and the late Liam, Marie, Michael, Johnny, Margaret and Ann. His remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
