Obituaries
The following deaths have occurred:-
Ann McLaughlin (née Houston), 152 Woodbrook, Derry City.
The death has taken place of Ann McLaughlin (née Houston), 9th July 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, ANN (formerly of the Glen), beloved mother of James, Richard and Lesley-Anne, devoted grandmother of Logan, Myah, Cillian and Méabh, beloved daughter of the late Tommy and May, dear and loving sister of Sinéad, Thomas, Fionnuala and Rosin, mother-in-law to Christina and Sinead and a cherished aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.
Funeral leaving her home, 152 Woodbrook, at 10:20am on Tuesday 11th July to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
Ann is now reposing at her home. Family time please from 10:00pm to 11:00am.
Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.
Brian Doherty
The death has taken place of Brian Doherty, 7th July 2023, beloved husband of Majella, loving father of Ruth and David, devoted grandfather of Nuala, dear son of the late Peggy and Michael, and a dear loving brother of Michael, Pauline, Una, Denis, Martin and Monica. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.
Removal leaving Bradley and McLaughlin's Funeral Home, 31 William Street, at 11:30am on Tuesday 11th July to the City Cemetery for burial at 12:00noon.
House strictly private please.

Josephine Nagle (née O'Neill), formerly Pellipar Park, Dungiven, Co Derry.
The death has taken place of Josephine Nagle (née O’Neill) peacefully at St Joseph’s Nursing Home, Killorglin, surrounded by her loving family on 7th of July 2023. May she rest in peace.
Late of Knocklyne, Killorglin, Co Kerry and formerly of Pellipar Park, Dungiven, Co Derry.
Beloved wife of John and loving mother of Anne( McCloskey) and Susan. Mother in law of Charlie and devoted grandmother of Jimmy and Olivia. Dear sister of Hughie. Deeply regretted by her nieces and nephews, friends, neighbours and the entire family circle.
Reposing at Flynn’s Funeral Home, Kilorglin. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday 10th of July at 10.30am in St James’ Church, Killorglin.

Leaving the funeral home on Wednesday 12th of July at 9.30am for 10am Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard.

Liam Conwell, 23 Barron Road, Dunamanagh
The death has taken place on July 8th at Altnagelvin Hospital of Liam Conwell, 23 Barron Road, Dunamanagh.
Much loved son of the late Evelyn and Michael Conwell and much loved brother of Michael, Patrick, Brendan, Gerard, Hughie, Evelyn, Noreen, Colm, Ann, Theresa and Roisin.
Reposing at his home on Sunday (July 9th) from 5pm.
Funeral leaving his home on Tuesday (July 11th) at 9.20am for Requiem Mass in St Patrick`s Church, Killenagh, Dunamanagh at 10am.
Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Anne Durey (née Mullan), 26 Dunree Gardens, Creggan, Derry
The death has taken place of Anne Durey (née Mullan), 8th July 2023 at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late Michael, loving mother of John and Nicola, much loved grandmother of John, Poppy-Anne, Jake, Lilly-Mae and Daisy and dear sister of Margaret, Mary and John. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 26 Dunree Gardens, Creggan on Sunday from 12noon – 10.00pm. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in The City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
