The following deaths have occurred:-
Michael Cowley, 1A Heathfield, Culmore Road, Derry
The death has occurred of Michael Cowley, 12th January 2023, (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre, beloved husband of Pat, 1A Heathfield, Culmore Road, loving father of John, father-in-law of Maeve, much loved grandfather of Eoghan and Cecilia, dear brother of Clare, Vincent, Rosemary, Eugene, Kevin, Martin, and the late Seán and a cherished uncle. House private please. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, Co Derry on Saturday and Sunday from 4.00pm – 6.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Eugene’s Cathedral on Monday at 12.30 pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Patricia Harrigan (née Doherty), 3 Magowan Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Patricia Harrigan (née Doherty), 13th January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Brandywell Court), beloved wife of Thomas, loving mother of Declan, dear mother-in-law to Dionne, devoted grandmother of Conan, loving sister of Joe, Margaret, Noeleen, Bernadette, Josephine, Martina, Jacqueline, Seamus and the late Leo, Jack and Eamon. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle and friends. Funeral leaving her home, 3 Magowan Park on Monday, 16th January at 9.20am to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Kathleen Elizabeth Kelly (née Watson), Dunhill Road, Macosquin, Coleraine
The death has taken place of Kathleen Elizabeth Kelly (née Watson), 12th January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, Kathleen Elizabeth, formerly of Dunhill Road, Macosquin, Coleraine. Dearly loved wife of the late William, loving mother of Billy, Heather, Debby and Mark and a much loved mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. Funeral service in Macosquin Parish Church on Monday at 11.00am followed by interment in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Dan Lynch, 10 Learmount Drive, Park
We regret to inform you, that the death has taken place of Dan Lynch, (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre on 13th January 2023, late of 10 Learmount Drive, Park, Co Derry. Beloved husband of the late Susan R.I.P and loving father of Marie, Sally, Bridie Jude, Shane and Helen. A devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Deeply regretted by his daughters in law, sons in law and entire family circle. Dan will be reposing at his late home today (Saturday) from 1.00pm. Family time please from 10.00pm to 10.00am. Funeral from his late home on Monday, 16th January, leaving at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Altinure, interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. The death has occurred of Rita McGuinness (née Havenhand), 13th January 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of Jackie, loving mother of Carmel, Pat, Reggie, Sharon, Catherine, Jacqueline, Bernard and the late John and Seamus, a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle and friends. Funeral leaving her home, 22 Iniscarn Crescent on Monday, 16th January at 9.30amto St. Mary’s Church Creggan for requiem mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Charles McLaughlin, 70 Rosemount Gardens, Derry
The death has taken place of Charles McLaughlin, 13th January 2023, (peacefully) at home, 70 Rosemount Gardens, beloved son of the late Ellen and Charles, loving brother of John, Denis, Lorcan, Eamon and Bernadette and a much loved uncle. Sadly missed by all his family and good friends. Charles’ remains will be removed from his home on Sunday evening at 7.30pm to St Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass on Monday at 9.00am. Trevor William Mason, 44 Blackthorn Manor, Derry
The death has taken place of Trevor William Mason, 6th January 2023, (peacefully) at Nobles Hospital Isle of Man, beloved son of Ethel and the late David, loving brother of Peter, Philip, Anita and Oswald, dear brother in law of Margaret and Helen. Funeral service in the family home, 44 Blackthorn Manor at 12noon on Monday, 16th January followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. At peace.
Margaret Mullan (née McKenna), Ballerin Hill, Ballerin (Updated Arrangements)
The death has occurred of Margaret Mullan (née McKenna), Ballerin Hill, 12th January 2023, (peacefully) at home surrounded by her loving family, beloved wife of the late Philip and loving mother of Patrick, Sean, Brian, Joseph, Marie and the late infant Martin. Daughter of the late John and Ellen and dear sister of Frank, Alice, Michael and the late Mary Agnes, James, Nellie, Pat and Annie. Funeral from her late residence, Ballerin Hill, on Monday at 10.15am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin.
