The following deaths have occurred:-
Thomas Boyle, 25 Coshowen, Derry
The death has taken place of Thomas Boyle, 11th October 2023, suddenly at his home, 25 Coshowen, beloved son of the late Tommy and Ruby, loving brother of Patrick and Mary, dear brother-in-law of Neil and the late Mary, cherished uncle and great-uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by Ellen, Laura and the wider family circle. Removal leaving Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home, 31 William Street, on Sunday, 15th October at 5.00pm to St. Columba’s Church, Longtower for Requiem Mass on Monday at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Viewing at Bradley & McLaughlin’s Funeral Home on Saturday, 14th October from 1.00pm until 3.00pm and on Sunday from 3.00pm until 5.00pm. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.
Doris Matilda Bredin, Derry
The death has taken place of Doris Matilda Bredin, 12th October 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (ex. Senior Nursing Officer). A dearly beloved sister of Vivian and the late Zek and Bertie and a much-loved sister-in-law of Maud, Albert and the late Ethel. A devoted Aunt of Kathryn, Alan, Lynne, William, Robert, Rosemary, Gillian and Nicola. A funeral service will take place on Monday, 16th October 2023 at 12noon in Glendermott Presbyterian Church followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Dara Hasson, 100 Culmore Road, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Dara Hasson, 12th October 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved daughter of William and Josephine, loving sister of Shane, Ruairí, Dearbhla, Gemma and the late Brona, dear and loving aunt to Selene and Aoibheann. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her aunts, uncles and the entire family circle and her many friends. Funeral leaving her home, 100 Culmore Road, on Sunday, 15th October at 11.50am to Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Eileen Kelly (née Sharkey), 110 Sallowilly Road, Claudy
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Eileen Kelly (née Sharkey), peacefully at Cornfield Care Home surrounded by her loving family on 13th October 2023. May she rest in peace. Late of 110 Sallowilly Road, Claudy, Co Derry. Beloved wife of John Joseph (Jack) and loving mother of Pat (Margaret), Declan (Rosina R.I.P) Jacqueline (Deaglan), Mary and the late infant Sean R.I.P. Loving grandmother of Brian, Roisin, Fiona, Orlagh, Sean, Mary, Ciara, Conor, Orlagh, James, Katherine, Victoria and Sarah. Daughter of the late Hugh and Annie Sharkey R.I.P and dear sister of Freddie and the late Hugh, Elizabeth, Teresa, Margaret, Patrick and Josie R.I.P. Reposing at her late home. Family time from 10.00pm to 1.00pm. Funeral from her late home on Sunday, 15th of October leaving at 12.30pm for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in Saint Joseph’s Church, Craigbane. The death has taken place of Evelyn Long (née Quigley), 12th October 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved Wife of the late Dessie and Loving Mother of Mark, Declan, Jason, Michelle and Cathy. A much loved Grandmother. Dear Sister of Mary and the late Anthony. Funeral from her daughter Michelle's home, 45 Old Mill Court, Pennyburn on Saturday, 14th October 2023, at 9.00am to St Brigid's Church, Carnhill for Requiem Mass at 9.30am. Rachel McArthur, Thackeray Place, Limavady
The death has taken place of Rachel McArthur, passed away 13th October 2023 in her 95th year peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Late of Thackeray Place, Limavady. Beloved wife of the late David. Devoted Mother of Ron, Gwen, Sharon, Timothy, and the late Marlene. Much loved Mother- in –law of Elaine, Royston, Robin, Libby and the late Cecil, and special Grandmother, & Great Grand Mother. House Private. Funeral Service outside her daughter’s home, 36 Lowry Park, Limavady on Sunday at 2.00pm followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery at 3.00pm.
