The following deaths have occurred:-
Carter Leo Anderson, Coleraine
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Carter Leo Anderson, 16th January 2024, (suddenly), aged 4 weeks, precious baby son of Erin and Ben, much loved baby brother of Faith, cherished grandson of Lesley and Edith and Louise and Lindsay. Graveside service in Coleraine Cemetery on Tuesday at 11.45am following a private family service. Donations in lieu of flowers if desired for https://gofund.me/4bf8cf23. Always loved and will never be forgotten by his mummy, daddy and entire family circle.
Helen Fitzsimons, 16 Gracefield Road, Magherafelt
The death has taken place of Helen Fitzsimons (Ballymaguigan / Crossgar), 18th January 2024, late of 16 Gracefield Road (Niece’s House), beloved daughter of the late Leo and Margaret and sister of Eileen Young, Lenard, John, Rosie O’Rourke, Geraldine Matthews, Paula Small and the late Brian. Funeral from the home of her niece Frances Johnston, 16 Gracefield Road, Magherafelt on Monday, 22nd January at 8.45am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of The Holy Family Teconnaught, interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her niece Frances Johnston, sisters, brothers and extended family circle.
James (Jim) Flood, 57 Belmont Crescent, Derry
The death has taken place of James (Jim) Flood, 17th January 2024, suddenly at home, (former lecturer in Construction at Limavady College & NWRC), dearly beloved husband of Frances, 57 Belmont Crescent, loving father of Jason and Rory, devoted granda of Eve, Arella, Euan, Maisie and Daithi, cherished son of the late Anton and Frances Flood (Bogside), dear brother of Bonny, Paddy and the late Margaret, John, Anton, Fauncien, Kathleen, Sadie and Majella and a much-loved uncle. His remains will be reposing in his home from 12noon - 9.00pm on Saturday. Funeral from there on Sunday at 11.45am for 12.15pm funeral Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Ita Love (née McKirgan), Coleraine
The death has taken place of Ita Love (née McKirgan), 18th January 2024 (peacefully) at Cara Care Home, Rasharkin, (in her 102nd year), dearly beloved wife of the late Douglas and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2A Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Monday at 1.00pm followed by interment in Coleraine Cemetery. Family flowers only please. January 2024, peacefully after an illness bravely borne, at her home 6 Linsfort Drive, beloved daughter of the late Eugene and Marjorie, cherished sister of Margaret, Eugene, Bernie, Kathleen, Danny and the late Bridget and Marjorie and a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Margaret Quigley, 60A Westland Street, Derry
The death has taken place of Margaret Quigley, 19th January 2024, suddenly at Altnagelvin Hospital. Loving Mother of Laura and the Late baby Mary Ann. Mother in law of Roisin. Beloved daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Ann. Dear sister of Jim, Susan, Marian, Tony and the Late Cathy. A much loved Aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Margaret will be reposing at her home, 60A Westland Street, today (Saturday) from 3.00pm. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am to St Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am.
