The following deaths have occurred:-
Elizabeth Barr (née McElhinney, 100 Cawhill Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Elizabeth Barr (née McElhinney, 26th May 2023, (peacefully) at home, beloved wife of the late Hugh, 100 Cawhill Park, loving mother of Annamarie, Fergal and Natalie, mother-in-law of Cormac and Gordon, much loved grandmother of Nadia, Niamh, Nakita, Orran, Lois, Michaela , Laya and Josh and cherished great-grandmother of Gerry, Phoebe and Esmé. Funeral from her home on Monday at 12.20pm for 1o'clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Ron Crockett, 12 Castle Gardens, Limavady
The death has taken place of Ron Crockett, passed away at Altnagelvin Hospital on 26th May 2023. Late of 12 Castle Gardens Limavady. Much loved husband of the late Winifred, loving father of Stacey, dear brother of Richard, Barbara, Wallace, Ian, David, Dean, Ryan, the late Ivor and Ronald, and very dear friend of Danny. (House strictly private, family only). Funeral arrangements to follow. Family flowers only please donations if desired and cheques payable to Marie Curie Cancer Care and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est. Aghanloo Road, Limavady (in memory of his late wife). Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.
Seamus Martin Davey, 14 Springfield Park, Bellaghy
The death has taken place of Seamus Martin Davey, 25th May 2023, beloved husband of Anne-Marie, loving son of Bridget and the late John and dear brother of Sean, step father of Ciara, Ursula, Gemma and Aidan. Funeral from his home, 14 Springfield Park on Saturday 27th May at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St. Mary Bellaghy via webcam Webcam – Bellaghy-Ballyscullion Parish (bellaghyparish.com), interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, mother, brother, sister in law Bernadette, nephews Francis, Lewis, Brendan, niece Melissa and extended family circle. Family time from 11.00pm to 11.00am.
Helen Veronica (Vera) McFadden (née Johnston), 65 Whitehouse Park, Derry
The death has occurred of Helen Veronica (Vera) McFadden (née Johnston), 26th. May 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, (local author and historian), loving mother of Mary, Margaret and Jimmy, devoted grandmother of Jennie, Sarah, Gillian, Catherine and Emma and great-grandmother of Katie and Bella, dear mother-in-law to Gillian, Dan and David, loving sister of Bernie and her deceased brothers and sisters. Sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home, 65 Whitehouse Park on Monday, 29th May at 10.20am to St. Brigid’s Church Carnhill for Requiem Mass at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. House Private From 10.30pm to 12noon. Wake to commence today (Saturday) at 12noon. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Capuchin Day Centre, 29 Bow Street, Dublin 7. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for her.
Laurence McLaughlin, 135 Prior Road, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Laurence McLaughlin, (suddenly but peacefully) at home on 25th May 2023. May he rest in peace. Late of 135 Priory Road, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved son of the late Pauline and Johnny R.I.P and loving brother of Jackie, Sandra, Lorraine, Gabriel, Ambrose and Mandy. Deeply regretted by the entire family circle. You are welcome to pay your respects at McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven BT47 4NQ) from 4.00pm to 7.00pm tonight (Saturday, 27th May). Removal from the the funeral home at 7.00pm to repose at his late home. Funeral on Sunday leaving his late home at 12.45pm for 1.30pm Requiem Mass in Saint Patrick’s Church Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for him.
