The following deaths have occurred:-
Michael Doherty, Westland Mews, Derry
The death has occurred of Michael Doherty, 29th September 2023, suddenly at his home, Westland Mews, loving father of Connolly, devoted grandfather to Karen, Niamh and Jack, beloved son of the late Michael and Maeve, dear brother of Brian, Margaret, Brendan, Ciaran and Deirdre. Michael will be reposing at his sister Deirdre’s home, 6A Blighs Gardens. Funeral leaving 6A Blighs Gardens on Sunday, 1st October at 12noon for interment in the City Cemetery. At Rest.
Irene Elizabeth Hamilton (née Rogers), 140 Spencer Road, Waterside, Derry
The death has occurred of Irene Elizabeth Hamilton (née Rogers), 29th September 2023, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded with love, formerly of 140 Spencer Road, Waterside in her 65th year) loving partner of Colin, much loved mother of James, Georgina, Dylan, Mark and Dorothy, adored granny and a dear aunt. Service of Thanksgiving in D & R Hay & Sons Funeral home, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Sunday, 1st October at 12noon, followed by burial in Mountcastle Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired (Cheques made payable to W.H.& S.C.T Altnagelvin Hospital Ward 41) c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director (above address). Everyone is welcome to call at the Funeral Home on Saturday, 30th September from 2.00pm until 4.00pm and evening between 6.00pm until 8.00pm. Dan Kelly, Disert, Draperstown
The death has taken place of Dan Kelly (Draperstown), 29th September 2023, peacefully at Ann’s Care Home, Moneymore formerly of Glenelly Villas and Disert, Draperstown. Son of the late Daniel and Rose, brother of Joe (deceased), John (deceased) and Jimmy. Wake from his nephew Stephen Kelly’s home, 23 Disert Road, Draperstown. Funeral from there on Sunday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Straw. Interment afterwards in adjoining Cemetery. Deeply regretted by his brother Jimmy, sister-in -law Brigid, nephews, nieces, and extended family circle. St Martin Pray for him. St Padre Pio Pray for him.
Hugh McNutt, 109 Elm Grove, Derry
The death has taken place of Hugh McNutt, 29th September 2023, beloved husband of Michaela and the late Mona, 109 Elm Grove, and a much loved brother-in-law and uncle. House private please. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown on Saturday at 10o’clock. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Baby Zoe Maya O'Kane, 63 Pinetrees, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Baby Zoe Maya O'Kane, 27th September 2023, beloved daughter of Sharon (Clarke) and Derrick (O’Kane), 63 Pinetrees, and a much loved granddaughter, niece and cousin. Deeply regretted by all her loving family circle. Zoe’s remains will be reposing in her grandparents home, 34 Hampstead Park, on Saturday from 2.00-7.00pm. Family only at all other times please. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Monday in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown at 11o’clock. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
