The following deaths have occurred:-
Fredrick (Freddie) Donaghy, 41 Templeard, Culmore, Derry
The death has occurred of Fredrick (Freddie) Donaghy, 3rd August 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of Dawros Gardens), beloved husband of Marion, loving father of Amanda, Peter and Aoibheann, dear son of the late Michael and Margaret, cherished brother to May and the late Margaret, Kathleen, John, Hugh, Michael, Bernard and Edward. Funeral leaving his home, 41 Templeard, Culmore, on Monday, 7th August at 9:20a.m. to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00a.m. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.
Mabel Hodgson (née Graham), Derry
The death has taken place of Mabel Hodgson (née Graham), 4th August 2023, (peacefully) at Causeway Hospital. Beloved wife of the late George. Funeral service in Adair & Neely Funeral Home, 10-12 Foyle Road on Thursday, 10th August 2023 at 1pm followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Family flowers only, Donations in lieu if wished to Trinity House, 15 Kilrea Road, Garvagh BT51 5LP or Dementia UK, 7th Floor, One Aldgate, London, EC3N 1RE. George Kinley, 1 Railway Lane, Dungiven
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of George Kinley (peacefully) at home surrounded by his loving family on 3rd of August 2023. May he rest in peace. Late of 1 Railway Lane, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved husband of Colette and loving father of Karen, Philip(Angeline) Suzanne and Alison. Devoted grandfather of Megan, Josh, Mia, Rhys, Teaghan and Caoilainn. Dear brother of Gerry, David, Maureen, Brenda and Shirley R.I.P. Reposing at his late home. Family time please 10pm to 11am. Funeral on Sunday, 6th August leaving his late home at 1.20pm for 2pm Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Dungiven. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Patrick (Patsy) Loughrey, 1 Inverroe Gardens, Creggan, Derry
The death has taken place of Patrick (Patsy) Loughrey, 4th August 2023, beloved husband of the late Mona, devoted father of Margaret, Liam, Michael, Siobhan, Maureen, James, Lisa, Claire, Noella and the late Paul and Jacqueline, and loving grandfather and great-grandfather, son of the late James and Margaret and dear brother of James, John and the late Hugo, Christy and Sheena. His remains will be reposing in his home, 1 Inverroe Gardens, Creggan. Funeral from there on Sunday at 1o’clock for 1.30pm funeral Mass in St Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery.
Allie Jane McConnell, Carnhill, Derry
The death has occurred of Allie Jane McConnell, 31st July 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, just 2 days old, beloved daughter of Keith McConnell and Laura Curran, Carnhill, baby sister of Ronan, cherished granddaughter of Chris and Angela Curran and Neil and Mary McConnell and a much loved niece. Her remains will be reposing in her grandparents house, 13 Oakbridge Park. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10.40am for 1 o'clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid's Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Safe in the arms of Jesus.
Patrick (Patsy) McNulty, 12 Ardilea Drive, Knockwellan Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Patrick (Patsy) McNulty, 4th August 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of the late Mary, of 12 Ardilea Drive, Knockwellan Park, loving father of Ann, Phylis, Brian, Damien and Siobhan, a loving grandfather and great grandfather and dear brother of Eileen, Celine, Kathleen and the late Mary and Bernie. His remains will be reposing in his home on Saturday from 12pm to 9pm. Funeral from there on Sunday at 11.55am for 12.30pm funeral Mass in St Columb's Church, Waterside. Interment afterwards in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family flowers only please. If wished, donations in lieu of flowers to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry BT47 8JE. Anna Jeanette Robinson, 576 Carnhill, Derry
The death has occurred of Anna Jeanette Robinson, 2nd August 2023, (suddenly) at home, 576 Carnhill. Beloved Daughter of the late Mary and Joseph, loving Sister of Evelyn, Lyndsay, Geraldine, Robert and Joyce. A dear Sister-in-law and loving Aunt and Great Aunt. Funeral leaving the family home 289 Longland Road, Claudy at 12.30pm on Sunday, 6th August for 1.00pm service in Cumber Upper (Alla) Parish Church followed by burial in Upper Cumber Cemetery. Family flowers only, Donations in lieu if wished to Melrose Day Centre, Rossdowney House, Glendermott Road BT47 6BG. Deeply regretted by her loving family circle. Safe in the arms of Jesus.
