The following deaths have occurred:-
Christopher (Chink) Barker, 7 Drumlaheen Crescent, Derry
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Christopher (Chink) Barker, suddenly at his home, on 9th November 2023. May he rest in peace. Beloved son of the late Philomena (Nena). Loving partner of Catriona. Devoted father of Courtney, Adam, Sophie and Dillon. Dearest brother of Stephen, Martin and Patricia. A much loved brother-in-law. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his nieces, nephews, wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Christopher’s remains will be reposing at his late residence, 7 Drumlaheen Crescent from 10am today (Sunday, 12th November). Funeral leaving from there on Tuesday, 14th November at 9.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. Robert James (Bobby) Brown, 74 Cawhill Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Robert James (Bobby) Brown, 11th November 2023, peacefully at the Causeway Hospital, Coleraine, (surrounded by his loving family formerly of 74 Cawhill Park, Derry) dearly beloved husband of the late Kathleen, loving step-dad of Kevin and the late Mike. Service of Thanksgiving for his life in D & R Hay & Sons Funeral Home 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Tuesday, 14th November at 11.00am followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired to Alzheimer’s Society c/o Ruth Hay Funeral Director, (above address). The death has taken place of Eamonn Patrick Guyler, 10th November 2023, suddenly, 967 Freehall Park, Castlerock. Dearly loved husband of Jeanella, loving father of Jonathan and Carley, father-in-law of Ashley and Ronan, much loved granda of Logan, Clodagh, Ellie-Rose, William, Freddie, Graham, John, Chloe, Reagan and Aimee and a dear brother and uncle. The death has occurred of Kathleen Leonard (née Cooke), 11th November, 2023 Peacefully at her home, 8Primity Crescent, Newbuildings, (surrounded by her loving family in her 91st year) dearly beloved wife of the late Stewarty, much loved mum of Joan, Libby, Yvonne, Shirley, Carole and William, adored Nana Kate and great-nana Kate, dear sister of Jean. Funeral leaving her late home on Monday, 13th November at 12.00noon, followed by a Service for her life in Newbuildings Church of Ireland Centre, at 12.30pm burial afterwards in Mountcastle Cemetery. The death has occurred of the late (Ben) George McDaid, passed away in Mater Private Hospital, Dublin. Late of Sperrin Road, Limavady. Much loved husband of Leanne, devoted father of Cody, loved son George and the late Jo and dear brother of Katie and Sam dear brother in law of Jason, Jill, Lisa and Lynn also a dear Uncle. Friends and family welcome at his Fathers George's home, 189 Mount Eden, Limavady from 8.00pm on Sunday, 12th onwards. Funeral will be held in his fathers home at 11.00am on Tuesday followed by burial in Enagh Cemetery. The death has taken place of Nancy (Nessie) Tannahill (née Carmichael), 10th November 2023, suddenly, 97 Killeague Road, Macosquin, Coleraine. Dearly beloved wife of Earl, much-loved mother of Lorraine, Alexandra and Heather, mother-in-law of Russell, David and Duncan and granny of Noah, Olive, Evan, Abby, Bonnie and Fergus. House Private. Funeral service in her home on Monday at 11.30am followed by interment in Killaig Presbyterian Churchyard. Family flowers only please.
