Obituaries
The following deaths have occurred:-
Sam Dickson, 4 Edenmore Park, Limavady
The death has occurred of Sam Dickson, (peacefully) passed away, 13th January 2023, at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, late of 4 Edenmore Park, Limavady. Devoted father of Laurie, Hayley, Lloyd, father in law of Laura also Lloyds partner Chantal. Loving son of Philomena, and granda-to-be, dad of his much loved pups, Angel, Ashe, Sirius and Ghost. Also a dear brother and uncle. (House will remain strictly private). Funeral service will be held in Drumachose Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 2.00pm, followed by burial in adjoining Churchyard. (Everyone is welcome to attend the funeral and refreshments afterwards in Limavady United Football Club) Strictly family flowers only. Donations if desired and cheques payable to ICU Altnagelvin Hospital (WHSCT) and forwarded to Browns Funeral Directors, 21 Aghanloo Ind Est. Aghanloo Road, Limavady. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.
Dan Lynch, 10 Learmount Drive, Park
We regret to inform you, that the death has taken place of Dan Lynch (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre on 13th January 2023, late of 10 Learmount Drive, Park, Co Derry. Beloved husband of the late Susan R.I.P and loving father of Marie, Sally, Bridie Jude, Shane and Helen. A devoted grandfather and great grandfather. Deeply regretted by his daughters in law, sons in law and entire family circle. Reposing at his late home. Family time please from 10.00pm to 10.00am. Funeral from his late home on Monday, 16th January, leaving at 10.15am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Altinure, interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Family flowers only please, donations if wished in lieu to Alzheimer’s Society c/o McLaughlin Funeral Directors. Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for him.
Pauline McCarron, 12 St Columb’s Wells, Derry
The death has taken place of Pauline McCarron, 12th January 2023, late of 12 St Columb’s Wells, loving mother of Paula, cherished mother-in-law of Kevin, dear sister of Michael, Patsy, Gerard, Majella, Kathleen and the late Jean, Rosaleen and Jimmy and a much loved aunt. Funeral from her home on Monday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Margaret McDermott (née Bell), 25 Danesfort Crescent, Derry
The death has occurred of Margaret McDermott (née Bell), 14th January 2023 beloved wife of Martin, 25 Danesfort Crescent, loving mother of Adrian, Declan and Julie, devoted grandmother of Jack, Conor, Matthew, Grace, Shane, Evie, Myla and Farrah and dear sister of Charlie, Jean, Hugh, Alice, Celina, Linda and the late Sheila and Lorney. Funeral from her home on Tuesday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
