The following deaths have occurred:-
Brendan McElhennon, 11 Crocknamohill Road, Draperstown
The death has taken place of Brendan McElhennon (Crocknamohill, Draperstown), 19th August 2023, (peacefully) surrounded by his loving family, Brendan R.I.P. Loving husband of Anna (Mc Crory), and dear father of Brenda (Hegarty), Michelle (Convery), Declan, Jolene (McCloy), Ann-Marie (Hegarty), Caroline (McKay) and Patricia (Boone), Brother of Veronica (McIvor), Pat, Josie (McIvor), Eugene, the late Rose Celine, son of the late Hugh and Winnie and father in law of the late Helena. Brendan’s wake will commence on Sunday, 20th August at 2.00pm. Funeral on Tuesday, 22nd August from his late residence, 11 Crocknamohill Road, Draperstown, BT45 7LB at 10.15am for 11o'clock Requiem Mass in St Patricks Church, Keenaught, Desertmartin. Interment immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Very deeply regretted by his wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, sons in law, sisters, brothers,sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family circle. Peggy McLaughlin, Ballynashallog Gardens, Derry
The dearh has taken place of Peggy McLaughlin, 18th August 2023, (peacefully) at Daleview Nursing Home and formerly of Ballynashallog Gardens, beloved daughter of the late William and Ellen (William Street), loving sister of the late Hugh, Kathleen, Eileen, Liam, Susan, Sheamus and Patsy and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Her remains will be reposing in her niece Paula’s home, 32 Lisnarea Avenue, Kingsfort Park, from 4.00pm on Saturday. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her. St Pio intercede for her.
Stephen Mullan, formerly off 11 Main Street, Feeny
We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Stephen Mullan, (suddenly but peacefully) on 15th August 2023 in Sydney Australia. Formerly of 11 Main Street Feeney, Co Derry. Beloved son of Malachy and Angela and dear brother of Pauline, Dermott, Sean, Siobhan, Sinead, Claire, Brenda and the late Karen R.I.P. Wake and funeral arrangements will be updated as soon as they become available. Deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by his entire family and friends in Feeny and Australia. Catherine (Celine) Nixon, 5 Meadowview Crescent, Rosemount, Derry
The death has taken place of Catherine (Celine) Nixon, 19th August 2023, (peacefully) at Culmore Manor. Beloved daughter of the late John and Cecilia, Loving sister of Raymond, Eddie, Philip, Pauline, Dolores, Attracta and the Late June, Pat, John, Paul and Gerry. A much loved aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Funeral from her home, 5 Meadowview Crescent, Rosemount on Monday at 9.20am to St Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass 10.00am. Tony O’Kane (Kerryman), 1 Saint Lurachs Gardens, Tullyheron Road Maghera

Late of 1 Saint Lurachs Gardens, Tullyheron Road Maghera, Co.Derry. Beloved husband of Mary. Loving father of Donna (Chris), James (Rita), Mejella and Pamela, (Ciaran). Devoted grandfather to Chloe, Jack, Isla and Noah. Son of the late James and Elizabeth O’Kane R.I.P (Upper Carn, Dungiven ) and brother of Joe and Dessie and the late Jimmy R.I.P. Removal from McLaughlin’s Funeral Home (414a Ballyquin Road, Dungiven) on Sunday, 20th August at 1.00pm to repose at his late home. Wake private please family and friends. Funeral from his late home on Tuesday, 22nd August leaving at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Glen, Maghera. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. Susan Steinfurth (née Lynch), Derry
The death has occurred of Susan Steinfurth (née Lynch), 19th August 2023, (peacefully) at Edenballymore Lodge, beloved wife of the late Peter (Argyle Street), loving sister of Phila, Jimmy and the late Willie, Alec, Bridget, Jean, Maureen and Gertie. Her remains will be reposing in her nephew’s home, 159 Kylemore Park, from 6.00pm on Saturday. Funeral from there on Monday at 1o’clock for 1.30pm Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
