The following deaths have occurred:-
Anne Ferguson (née McKinney), formerly of Clooney Estate, Derry
The death has occurred of Anne Ferguson (née McKinney), 24th February 2023, (peacefully) at Edgewater Care Home, loving wife of the late James, formerly of Clooney Estate, loving mother of Theresa, Bernadette, Martina, Patrick, Samuel, Sharon, JP and the late Rodney, a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Adeline and the late Dolores. Funeral from daughter Sharon’s home, 1 Cromkill Place, Trench Road, on Monday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Kevin Hinds, 39 Belmont Crescent, Derry
The death has occurred of Kevin Hinds, 24th February 2023, (peacefully) at home, beloved husband of Sally, 39 Belmont Crescent, loving father of Tom, Colm and Dan and dear brother of Paul, Kathleen, Mary and the late Joan. Loved and sadly missed by all his wider family and friends. Kevin's wake will take please in his home on Sunday from 12.00pm to 6.00pm. House private at all other times and on the morning of the funeral. Funeral service will take place in the Cornerstone City Church, (old Channel 9 Building - enter from Duke Street) on Monday at 12o'clock. Interment afterwards in the CityCemetery.
Albert Cecil McCaughey, 4 The Glasshill, Killymuck Road, Kilrea
The death has taken place of Albert Cecil McCaughey, 24th February 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 4 The Glasshill, Killymuck Road, Kilrea, dearly beloved husband of Rosemary, much loved father of Thomas, Emma Jayne and Simon and a dear father-in-law, grandfather and brother. Family service at his home on Monday followed by service of committal at Churchtown Presbyterian Churchyard at 3.00pm where all are welcome. House strictly private. Family flowers only please. The death has taken place of Margaret Noel (Peggy) Simpson (née Brown), 23rd February 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 23 Derrygarve Road, Castledawson, dearly beloved wife of the late Edward (Eddie), much loved sister of the late Helen (Woodward), Jack, Billy, May (Lennox) and Victor and a dearly loved aunt and great-aunt.
