The following deaths have occurred:-
Elizabeth (Jean) Allen (née Long), 49 Ross Bay, Limavady Road, Derry
The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Jean) Allen (née Long), 25th March 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by her loving family) dearly beloved wife of the late Cecil, much loved mother of John and Patricia, loving mother-in-law of Linda and Nelson, adored grandmother of David, Michael, Anna, James and Emily, great-grandmother of Ollie, Evie and Albie, dearest sister of Bertie, Cecil and the late Raymond. Funeral leaving her late home, 49 Ross Bay, Limavady Road, on Tuesday, 28th March at 1.00pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life in St. Augustine’s Parish Church at 1.30pm, burial afterwards in Glendermott New Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu of desired to St. Augustine’s Parish Church c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director, 24a Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry, BT47 3QQ. Family time please from 9.00pm until 11.00am. Very deeply regretted and will lovingly remembered by her entire family circle. Peace, perfect peace.
William Ross Jackson (Billy) Cairns, 149 Primity Crescent, Derry
The death has taken place of William Ross Jackson (Billy) Cairns, 24th March 2023, (suddenly) at his home, 149 Primity Crescent. Dearly beloved husband of the late Maura. Father of Lorna, David, Lynn and the late Paul. A private Cremation will take place at a later date. Adair and Neely Funeral Home 10 -12 Foyle Road will be open for Family and Friends to pay their respects on Tuesday, 28th March 2023 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. At Rest.
Bobby Clarke, Roe View Park, Limavady
The death has taken place of Bobby Clarke, 25th March 2023, (peacefully) at Longfield Care Home and late of Roe View Park, Limavady. Loving father of the late Michael R.I.P., son of the late Patrick and Martha R.I.P. Dear brother of John, Theresa, Eugene, George and the late Peggy, Mary and Patricia R.I.P. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Funeral will leave from: O’Brien’s funeral home 10 Ballyclose Street, Limavady on Monday at 9.35am for Requiem Mass at 10.00am in St Mary’s Church Limavady followed by interment in adjoining Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Brian Dillon, 32 Central Drive, Creggan, Derry
The death has occurred of Brian Dillon, 25th March 2023, (peacefully) at home surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle fought with great courage and dignity, beloved husband of the late Mary (nee McMullan), loving father of Brian, Sean, Ursula, Terry, Sinead and Jeanette, father-in-law of Paula, Mary, Gary and Denis a much loved grandfather and great-grandfather, son of the late Tommy and Annie and dear brother of Clare, Pat, Delores, Terry, Una, Ursula and the late John and cousin Maureen who was more like a sister. Will be sorely missed by his family, extended family and friends. Brian’s remains will be reposing in his family home, 32 Central Drive, Creggan, Derry. Family time only please from 10.00pm – 10.00am Funeral leaving from his home at 9.30am on Monday to St Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10o'clock. Interment afterwards in City Cemetery. Linda Johnson (née Shiels), (formerly of 134 Westway, Creggan), Melbourne
The death has taken place of Linda Johnston (née Shiels), (peacefully) passed away at Frankston Hospital, Melbourne Australia, 20th March 2023, formerly of 134 Westway, Creggan, beloved wife of David, proud mother of Bobby, Naomi, Steven and the late Shari, devoted grandmother to her granddaughter Chloe, loving mother in law to Alan, dear daughter of the late Dan and Betty, loving sister of Mary, Kathleen, Maureen and Caroline, cherished Aunt to all her nieces, nephews and extended generations. Funeral service Monday, 3rd April 2023 at 10.00am, Seaford Chapel, followed by Cremation at Bunurong Memorial Park, Melbourne. Arrangements and plans for a Celebration of Linda’s Life to be held back home in Derry at a later date. We can no longer see you with our eyes, touch you with our hands but we’ll feel you in our hearts forever. Sister Clare intercede and wrap her in your arms.
William (Billy) Moore, Faulkner Court, Derry
William (Billy) Moore, 25th March 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin hospital, late of Faulkner Court. Beloved husband of Ann, loving father of Robert, Gemma, Emily and Brandon- Lee, and a devoted grandfather. Funeral service in Adair and Neely Funeral home on Wednesday, 29th March at 11.00am followed by a private cremation. Deeply regretted by his loving family circle.
Seamus O'Kane (Trick), 9 Grannagh Park, Aghanloo, Limavady
The death has taken place of Seamus O'Kane (Trick), 25th March 2023, (peacefully) at Cornfield Care Centre. Beloved husband of the late Marguerite R.I.P. Will be sorely missed by his loving children, grand-children, brothers, sisters and wider family circle. His remains will leave his late residence of 9 Grannagh Pk, Aghanloo on Tuesday, 28th March at 9.15am for 10.00am Requiem Mass at St.Marys Church. Interment immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family time please between 10.00pm and 10.00am. Family flowers only please. Victor John Rosborough, 70 Claggan Road, Claudy
The death has taken place of Victor John Rosborough, 24th March 2023, (peacefully) at the Foyle Hospice, beloved husband of Olive, 70 Claggan Road, Claudy, loving father of David, Gareth and Bryan, father-in-law of Elaine, Natalie and Jade and devoted grandfather of Jessica, Lewis, Hannah, Harry, Eve and Jill. Victor's remains will be reposing in his home on Sunday from 2.00pm - 9.00pm for family and friends only please. Funeral from there on Monday at 2.25pm for 3o’clock service in Banagher Presbyterian Church. Interment afterwards in the adjoining burying ground. Family flowers only please.
