The following deaths have occurred:-
Samuel Wesley Barr, 6 Fern Brae Gardens, Kilfennan, Derry
The death has taken place of the late Samuel Wesley Barr, 26th January 2024, peacefully at home, 6 Fern Brae Gardens, Kilfennan. Dearly beloved Husband of the late Josephine. A loving Father of Sam and Father-in-law of Alison. Dearest Papa of Andrew, Jack, Rebecca and the late Jamie. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, 30th January 2024 at 12.30pm in Kilfennan Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations if wished in lieu of flowers to Limavady Initiative for the Prevention of Suicide (LIPS) or Marie Curie Cancer Care c/o Adair & Neely, 10-12 Foyle Road, Derry. Family time please between 10.00pm and 12noon. Wesley will be sadly missed by his entire family circle and friends. Safe in The Arms of Jesus.
Emmanuel Begley, 15 Glenvale Road, Derry
The death has taken place of Emmanuel Begley, 25th January 2024, suddenly at his home, 15 Glenvale Road, (formerly of 58 Rathlin Drive), beloved son of Etta and Charles, loving brother of Michelle, Stephen, Karl, Marc, Daniel and Aaron, and a devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving his home on Monday 29th January at 9.20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for him.
Albert Hill, 35 Glengiven Avenue, Limavady
The death has occurred of the late Albert Hill, 26th January 2024, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, 35 Glengiven Avenue, Limavady. Dearly beloved husband of Jean and much loved father of Robin, Graham, Stuart, Jeffrey and Mark; father-in-law of Anita, Kirsty, Amanda, Samantha and Laura; granda of Joseph, Peter, Isobel, Elizabeth, Christy, Daniel, Emma, Kate, Noah, Alfie and Marcie; brother of Mary and the late Victor, Jack, James and Jean. Funeral Service in Dungiven Parish Church on Monday at 2.00pm followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. Daniel Shiels, 84 Strabane Old Road, Derry
The death has occurred of the late Daniel Shiels, 26th January 2024, beloved husband of Mary, 84 Strabane Old Road, loving father of Tracey, Daniel, Mandy, John, Mary, Bernie and the late Frankie, a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather and dear brother of Jim, Frankie, Roisin, Teresa and the late Liam, Marie, Michael, Johnny, Margaret and Ann. His remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Monday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road, Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
