The following deaths have occurred:-
Margaret Hester Hamilton (née Gault), 61 Ivy Mead, Drumahoe
The death has taken place of Margaret Hester Hamilton (née Gault), 28th July 2023, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by her loving family) much loved wife of the late Billy, devoted mother of Lynn and Brian, loving sister of Jean, John and the late Anne. Service of Thanksgiving in her late home, 61 Ivy Mead, Drumahoe, on Sunday, 30th July at 2.00pm followed by burial in Glendermott Presbyterian Church Burial Ground. Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired to Foyle Search and Rescue c/o Mrs Ruth Hay Funeral Director, 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ. Family time please from 10.00pm until 11.00am Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by her entire family circle. Your presence is missed, but in our hearts you will live forever.
Joe (Patrick Joseph) McCaul, 4a Liscall Road, Ballerin
The death has taken place of Joe (Patrick Joseph) McCaul (Ballerin Hill), 27th July 2023, (peacefully) beloved husband of Mary; loving father of Bronagh, Geraldine (Martin), Damien (Claire) and a much adored Granda of six Grandchildren. Brother of Tony and the late Colum, Carmel and Brendan. Family time 10.00pm to 11.00am please. Funeral from his late residence, 4a Liscall Road, on Sunday at 9:20am (travelling via Ballerin Park Road) for 10o’clock Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Ballerin. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. (Mass will be broadcast live on the parish website http://www.errigalparish.com/media.html). Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. James (Jimmy) McIntyre, 43 Willowfield Drive, Coleraine
The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) McIntyre, 26th July 2023, (suddenly), 43 Willowfield Drive, Coleraine, dearly loved husband of Elizabeth (Libby), loving father of Philip and Janice, father-in-law of Michelle and Robert, much loved grandfather of Grace, Rhys, and Conor and great-grandfather of Oliver, Ruby and Archie. Funeral from his home on Monday at 2.00pm to Coleraine Cemetery. Donations if desired for N.I.C.H.S. c/o Mrs Mona Murdock, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Deeply regretted by his loving family and entire family circle.
Agnes McNaught (née O'Kane), 81 Strabane Old Road, Derry
The death has taken place of Agnes McNaught (née O'Kane), 28th July 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 81 Strabane Old Road, Top of the Hill, beloved wife of the late Mickey, loving mother of Catherine, Paddy, Mickey, Thomas, Noreen, Una, Liam and John, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Frank, Sheila and the late Julia, Paddy, Bridget, Noreen, Evelyn and Tommy. Her remains will be reposing in her home. Funeral from there on Monday at 11.20am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her. St Pio intercede for her.
Brian Maguire, 302 Kular Court, Derry
The death has taken place of Brian Maguire, suddenly at his home, 302 Kular Court on 27th July 2023. Loving father of Kayleigh and Cameron. Much loved son of Kathleen and Shane Meenan. Dear brother of Shannon, Shane, Connaith and the Late Laura and Jim (Twin). Long term partner of Helen Doherty. Funeral from his parents home, 50 Rathlin Drive on Sunday at 12.50pm to St Mary's Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Florence Watterson (née McMullan), 1 Moyola Gardens, Castledawson
The death has taken place of Florence Watterson (née McMullan), called home July 28, 2023 (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, dearly beloved wife of the late Samuel, 1 Moyola Gardens, Castledawson, much loved and devoted mother of Uel, Ivan and Florence, dear mother-in-law of Helen, Margaret and the late John and also a loving grandmother & great-grandmother. The death has taken place of Margaret Eleanor, Wylie (née Bolton), 28th July 2023, (peacefully) at her home, 24 Mill Crescent, Tobermore, Margaret Eleanor, dearly loved Wife of Billy, much loved Mother of Stephen, Amanda and Janice, loving Mother-in-Law of Caroline and Hazlett, precious Granny of Colin, Ben Ricky, Rodney, Jessica and Graeme, Great Granny of Katie, Ryan, Jamie and Sophia and dearest Sister of Samuel. House private. Funeral from her home on Sunday, July 30th at 1:30pm to Tobermore Baptist Church for service at 2:00pm, followed by burial in Kilcronaghan Parish Churchyard.
