The following deaths have occurred:-
Samuel Robert (Uel) Harrison, 22 Summer Meadows View, Derry
The death has occurred of Samuel Robert (Uel) Harrison, 5th May 2023, (peacefully) at his home, 22 Summer Meadows View, beloved husband of Margaret, loving father of David and Sara, devoted grandfather of Nichola, Ryan, Courtnie, Emma, Hannah and the late Mark, much loved great-grandfather of Charlie, Maddie, Rex, Olivia, Connor and Sophie and dear brother of Joyce, Jack and the late Helen. His remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Monday at 1.25pm for 2.00pm service in Glendermott Presbyterian Church. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Family time please from 9.00pm to 11.00am. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to Marie Curie, C/o Mrs Joan Doherty, 20 Dunhugh Park, Victoria Road, Derry, BT47 2NL. Faire i dteach an teaghlaigh, 10 Bóthar Dhún an Chreagáin, Dé Domhnaigh & Dé Luain (2.00 i.n. - 9.00 i.n.). Reáchtálfar Aifreann a shochraide ar an 9 Bealtaine, 11.30 r.n. in Ard-Eaglais Naomh Eoghan, Doire. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
The death has occurred of Risteard Mac Gabhann, 6 May 2023, in the Foyle Hospice after a short illness. His loss is sorely felt by his wife Joan; daughters Ciara, Áine and Treasa; his grandchildren Éava, Tom, Fionn and Cian; his sons-in-law Salvatore, Paddy, Nick, Brett (predeceased), as well as his extended family and friends. Wake to be held in family home, 10 Duncreggan Road, Sunday & Monday (2.00pm- 9.00pm). Requiem Mass at 11.30am, 9th May, St Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry.
