Obituaries
The following deaths have occurred:-
Robert Cooper, 2 Willow Crescent, Ballykelly
The death has taken place of Robert Cooper, passed away in Altnagelvin Hospital on 13th September 2023. Devoted Husband of Margaret. Much loved father of Heather, Stephen, Christopher and Trevor. Also a loving Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Funeral cortege will leave his late home, 2 Willow Crescent on Saturday at 1.30pm for a service in Ballykelly Presbyterian Church at 2pm. Followed by Burial in adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his entire family circle.
Dylan Deery, 94 Westway, Creggan, Derry
The death has taken place of Dylan Deery, 12th September 2023, loving father of Dairsi-Kate, Logan and Aaliyah, beloved son of June and Dave, much loved brother of Michael, Kevin, Jessica, Eimear and his twin Dearbhla and a cherished nephew and cousin. His remains will be reposing in his home, 94 Westway, Creggan. Funeral from there on Saturday at 9.30 am for 10 o’clock Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Creggan. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
Kenneth Douglass Duncan, Derry
The death has taken place of Kenneth Douglass Duncan, 12th September 2023 at King George Hospital, Ilford. Beloved husband of Jean, loving father of Linda and Leigh. Devoted grandfather of Katherine, Kristina, Katie and Charlie. Brother of the Late Ronald. Late of Lewis Street, Rosemount and Newbuildings. The Lord is my Shepherd.
Anita Jackson (née McLaughlin), 59 Hatmore Park, Derry
The death has occurred of Anita Jackson (née McLaughlin), 12th September 2023, beloved wife of Peter, 59 Hatmore Park, loving mother of Nicola, Emma and the late baby Connor, mother-in-law of Lyle, devoted grandmother of Ash, dear sister of Anthony and the late Philomena and sister-in-law of Anne. House private please. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn on Thursday at 10 o’clock. Cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at a later date. Mary Patricia (Pat) McElroy (née White), 39 Creggan Road, Randalstown
The death has taken place of Mary Patricia (Pat) McElroy (née White) (Creggan), 11th September 2023. Beloved wife of Richard (Dick) and loving mother of Gerard, Claire and Martin, dear sister of Anne and the late Teresa and Kathleen. Funeral from her home, 39 Creggan Road, Randalstown on Thursday 14th September at 9.20am for 10.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St MacNissi’s, Randalstown. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her husband, daughter, sons, daughter in law Lisa, Claire’s partner Paul, grandchildren, sister, nephews, nieces and extended family circle. Ann McGrellis (née McLaughlin), Gallony, Feeny
The death has occurred of Ann McGrellis (née McLaughlin) (Gallony, Feeny), 13th September 2023. Peacefully at home. R.I.P. Beloved wife of Patsy and loving mother of Marie, Theresa (Martin), Eamon (Helen), Gerard (Marie), Donal (Debbie), Martina (Monty), Majella (Mickey) and John Paul (Ciara). Funeral leaving her late residence in Gallony on Friday at 12.00 pm for 12.30pm Requiem Mass in St. Joseph’s Church Fincarn. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Deeply regretted by her loving husband, daughters, sons, sisters, brothers, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and entire family circle. St. Martin Pray for her.
