The following deaths have occurred:-
Pauline Downey (née Doherty), 5 Kingsfort Crescent, Derry
The death has taken place of Pauline Downey (née Doherty), 16th November 2022, (peacefully) at the Foyle Hospice, beloved wife of Martin, 5 Kingsfort Crescent, loving mother of Ciaran, sister of John, Brian, Martin, Gerard and Elaine and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Funeral from her home on Friday at 9.30am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu of flowers, if wished, to the Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry, BT48 8JE. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Arthur Samuel Hiscox, 35 Clearwater, Derry
The death has taken place of Arthur Samuel Hiscox, 16th November 2022, (peacefully) at Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family). Dearly beloved husband of Elizabeth Kathleen (Betty), a loving father of Jacqueline, Arthur and Mark. A much-loved father-in-law and devoted grandfather, brother of Jackie, Sylvia and the late Lily. A funeral service will take place at his late home 35 Clearwater on Saturday, 19th November 2022 at 12noon followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Seamus King, 15 Bloomfield Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Seamus King, 16th November 2022, beloved husband of the late Barlo, 15 Bloomfield Park, loving father of Eileen, Margaret, Donna, Tina, James, Jackie, Caroline, Rhonda, Darren, Gareth and the late baby James, a much loved grandfather and great-grandfather and dear brother of Hugh. Funeral from his home on Friday at 12.30pm for 1o’clock Requiem Mass in St Joseph’s Church, Galliagh. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
James McGonagle, 27 Gleneagles, Derry
The death has taken place of James McGonagle, 14th November 2022, (peacefully) at Deanfield Care Home, (formerly of 27 Gleneagles), beloved son of the late Frank and Margaret, loving brother of John, Barbara and the late Andrew, a dear and loving brother-in-law and a devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle and his friends. Funeral leaving his home, 27 Gleneagles, today (Thursday) at 9.20am to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if wished, to Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry. WAKE FOR FAMILY AND CLOSE FRIENDS ONLY. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
